I've stayed up all night because I know that Aang's gonna try to leave without us. He cares about us too much to lead us into a situation like that, but that's why we can't let him go alone, because we care about him just the same. So, when Aang sneaks out of the building to go get Appa ready, I get out of my bed and go over to Sokka.

"Sokka." I whisper. "Sokka, Sokka get up. Aang's gone." He groans and rolls over.
"Five more minutes (y/n). Then I'll make the chicken nuggets. Go wake up Yuuga, they're gonna be late for school." He mumbles, talking in his sleep. Who's Yuuga? And what the hell are chicken nuggets? I roll my eyes, forgetting about it. I pick up a bag of supplies and drop it on him. He jolts up with a yelp and glares at me. I snicker and go over to Katara and wake her up.

We quickly grab our things and run to catch Aang. We get close and hear Aang talking to Appa.
"-so get your big butt off the ground and let's go!" He shouts.
"I think his big butt is trying to tell you something." He says as we walk out.
"Please don't go Aang. The world can't afford to lose you... neither can I." Oop- could this be the blossoming... of love? I think dramatically.
"But I have to talk to Avatar Roku about what my vision means. I need to get to the Fire temple before the sun sets on the solstice. And that's today!"
"We're not letting you go into the fire nation Aang." Says Katara.
"At least, not without us." Sokka says, and wraps his arm around Aang's shoulder. "We got your back."
We hear someone come up behind us and we turn around to see the village leader.
"It's a long journey to the crescent island." He says and hands Aang a package. "You'll have to fly fast if you want to have any chance of getting there before sundown. Good luck avatar."
"Thank you for your-"
"GO!" We rush onto Appa's saddle and take off.

We're almost to the border when Katara looks behind us.
"Aang, we've got trouble." We look back and see Zuko's ship trailing behind us.
"Ya, and it's gaining, fast." Sokka panics. That's when something shoots at us. Katara yells at Aang and he gets us out of the way. I quickly plug my nose.
"Spirits, what the hell is that?!"
"We have to get out of Zuko's range before he shoots another hot-stinker at us." Says Katara with her nose plugged.
"Can't Appa fly any faster?" Sokka asks.
"Ya, but there's one problem." We all turn to see what Aang is talking about and we see a massive blockade, and another fireball flies past us.
"Well shit." I say under my breath.
"What was that?" Sokka asks.
"Uhhh Nothing."
"No, you said something."
"Ya, What was that (y/n)?" Aang asks.
"Nothing my sweet innocent little baby child. Go back to figuring out how to get us through the blockade of fire benders trying to kill us. I say quickly. He shrugs and goes back to brain storming. Sokka eyes me suspiciously and Aang suggests something.
"If we head north we can go around the blockade! It's the only way."
"There's no time!" Urges Katara.
"This is why I didn't want you guys to come! It's too dangerous!"
"And that's exactly why we're here." Says Katara.
"I guess there's no other way." I smirk.
"Let's run this blockade!" Sokka yells.
"Appa, Yip yip!" Aang yells and we fly even quicker.

We advance quickly and soon the sky is littered with fireballs. As they rain down, I try to move them discretely so they don't hit Appa, but I miss one and Appa's fur singes. Katara and Momo quickly slap out the embers on his fur.
"Appa! Are you okay buddy?!" Appa roars in reply, indicating that he's alright. We continue to dodge fireballs and we scream as the fire burst through black smoke. We all hold onto the saddle tightly as Appa manoeuvres through the rain of fire. But Sokka loses his grip and falls out of the saddle.
"Sokka!" Aang shouts and goes to turn Appa to save him. I quickly grab my bow, rope, and an arrow.
"Aang, don't turn us around!" I yell as I tie the rope to my arrow and anchor it to the saddle. "I got this." I say as I draw back the arrow and aim just past Sokka. "Sokka! Catch!" I yell as I release the arrow. It soars through the air and past Sokka and he grabs on to the rope trailing behind the arrow frantically. Once he's got a grip I start pulling him back up. Katara runs over to help me with Sokka and he keeps screaming below, as fireballs shoot past him.
