Prologue
Funny how things fall into proper places.
But before that, that 'things' have passed many trials and obstacles. Some left with a lesson and some were just a scar. But nonetheless, it still leaves a mark. A mark, a sign that you have passed something painful, something that no one can understand, only you.
I sighed as I watch the sky and stars. I like this. I always liked this. Me, the silence, the sky, the stars and him. But he's not here, but that did not make the sky and stars any less.
I smile as I try making invisible lines through connecting the stars.
"I knew that you would be here," isang baritong tinig ang bumasag sa katahimikan. And I know who it is.
I get up from laying down to the ground and widely smiled to him. I open my arms asking for his hug, and he gladly did.
I sniffed his scent while hugging him tight. I missed him so much.
Bumitaw ako sa yakap at hinarap siya. "Did you go here straight from work?" I eyed him.
He chuckled and put me between in his legs. He hugged me from behind. I can't help but to feel giddy and chuckled.
"How's work?" I asked him. Were both looking at the sky, appreciating the stars and moon.
"It's still work."
I rolled my eyes. "Of course."
"Kagagaling ko lang sa tambak na trabaho. Just let me rest first."
"Why did you went here instead of resting huh?"
He put his head on my neck. It felt ticklish because of his breathing but it's bearable. "You're my rest."
I rolled my eyes while smiling like an idiot. This jerk! He said he's tired but have the guts to flirt.
"Yeah, yeah. Get up. Doon ka na sa kwarto natin magpahinga," I said as I tapped his legs.
Nauna akong tumayo at hinila siya. Tahimik kaming naglakad papunta sa aming kwarto.
"Thank you, Irene," he huskily said. Probably, because sa sobrang pagod. I've talked with a friend of mine na asawa ng ka-trabaho niya and ang dami nga talaga nilang kailangang trabahuhin. He must be really tired.
I smiled at him and gave him a kiss on his cheeks. "You're welcome. Rest now. I'm a bit sleepy too."
He closed his eyes and fell asleep. Seems like everything really happens with just a blink of an eye.
