Harry celebrated Christmas with the Malfoys, Sirius, and his 'friend', Remus. He recieved a lot of gifts from them, as well as the people he had the chance to talk to during all the banquets he was invited to. Many different families had tried getting close to him during those private banquets, considering he is now the heir of Black.
Despite all the fun, they were expected to go back to Hogwarts to complete their first year. They bid goodbyes, and entered the train. When Harry and his friends were about to get into their compartment, a tall figure approached them.
"Looky here, who might this be?"
James Potter. The father figure Harry was supposed to have, yet James is his ultimate nightmare.
"What are you doing here?" Harry said in a monotone voice with newfound confidence.
"Well, Harry," James snarled, "I am now teaching at Hogwarts, so you better show some respect! Unless... you want Slytherin to lose all their house points."
The Slytherin looked disgusted. How dare James abuse his authority! But they know better, and kept quiet.
Draco mouthed, "My father will hear about this."
Harry rolled his eyes, his mood ruined because of James.
"Now," James explained, "the reason that I'm here is that you are no longer allowed to communicate with these snakes. You are going to sit with your family!"
James grabbed Harry's arm, pulling him.
"What the hell are you doing? Get off me!" Harry panicked, scared of the contact.
"Listen to me you insolent brat!" James fumed.
"No! I'll sit with whoever i want, and that person is not you!" Harry scorned.
"Fine," James stated, "remember, you are the one who made me do this!"
Harry looked at James, terrified of what he is going to do.
"I, James Fleamont Potter, Head of the Noble house of Potter, hereby state that Harry James Potter will now be detained by the power of the Potter's blood surging in his body and magic. He is not to disobey the Head's command, or else, the magic of the blood will punish him, until I said otherwise. So mote it be!" James recited.
When James said the last sentence, red strings, which looks like blood, tied around Harry, and shone. Harry jolted when the magical strings entered him. By this time, Harry realised what is happening. He have read about it at the Potter's library. It is an old ritual usually used by the Head of a family to ground or punish their heirs. The Slytherins also seemed aware of what had just happened, as their eyes were as big as saucers.
"Now, Harry James Potter," James said, "you know what you should do, unless you want to face the consequences."
Harry held back tears, and looked at his friend for the last time, who seemed to be worried for him. He reluctantly took his belongings, and ambled behind James. The elder Potter smirked victoriously. He successfully have Harry under his control. Albus had told him that Harry has something to do with the missing stone, and James have to keep Harry in his sight. Plus, it might give the Order some information regarding the Slytherins.
Students and teachers were getting in the train as the Hogwart's express will soon depart.
"Now, let's go through the rules, shall we?" James smirked, as he shut the compartment door close.
There in the compartment, his mother, Lily and his twin, Henry, sat. James sat down, and glared at Harry to sit down beside Henry, who did not look pleased.
"How did you make him agree?" Lily curiously asked her husband.
"With an ancient ritual, of course," James boasted, "knew it would come in handy."
Lily simply nodded.
"Now... right, the rules," James continued, "First, you are to spend your weekends with us at our room in Hogwarts. Second, you are not to disobey your mother and I. Third, I don't want you to be getting anywhere close to those snakes, unless necessary! When we arrive, you will immediately be resorted."
Harry looked at James like he had just grown another head.
"You can't do that! I'm a Slytherin! Why can't you accept it? You-" Harry cried, fumming.
Just as he was about to utter the next words, a painful feeling spread inside him. It felt as if the magic in him was swelling and attacking himself. Harry digged his fingertips onto the seats, trying to compose himself, but failed miserably. He screamed so loudly that the teachers around their compartment came to check.
                              Mcgonagall looked horrified.
"James! What did you do to him?" She cried.
"Minerva, you should know, that a blood ritual is not illegal, and is allowed to be used on misbehaving children. Stop being so meddlesome on my family matters!" James growled.
Minerva looked as if she wanted to argue, but could not. There is no existing rules stating that this kind of ritual is not allowed, eventhough cruel in general. The only person who could reverse it is the caster, and no antidote known to this date could reverse the binding contract. Minerva was forced to leave their famiky alone, guilt heavy in her chest, as she had done nothing to help the boy's situation. She know that Harry is an extraordinary child. Polite, smart and also talented for his age. She do not understand what made James hate his own son that much.

Minutes passed, and the pain finally start fading away. Harry wiped his tear stained eyes. James looked content that Harry is under his control.
"Okay, let's try to be civil," Lily suggested, quite concerned about the magic James used. Henry on the other hand, seems happy that Harry is suffering. Lily gave James a look as if saying that they need Harry to open up to them, so it will be easier to gain information.
"Harry," James began, "how was your Yule?"
"Fine," Harry simply answered.
James glared, earning a kick from Lily.
"Well then dear, how's school so far? Do you have any difficulties? Remember your brother Henry here will always be available to help you, after all he is a powerful wizard," Lily cooed.
Henry grinned, proud of himself. Harry gave a disgusted and confused look.
"School is fine, nothing too challenging. So far I do not seem to have any difficulties with the curriculum," Harry answered. Harry thought that if he had to be under his parents' supervision until Merlin knows how long, he better just play along with their games. Harry forced himself to smile.
The transportation suddenky became chaotic. People were screaming and running. James exit the compartment and asked a student, "What's going on in here?"
"Mr Potter! Someone experimented with a summoning spell, and now we have a snake slithering around, it's quite large too!" a second year girl pointed out.
"And they do not know the counter for the spell!" Another second year screeched.
Just as the second year was about to run, the said snake cane slithering towards her. The girl scrambled, and fell. The snake coiled around her leg, and looked like it was about to attack her. James could not fire the counter when the snake is coiling around the girl, especially when people are running around, panicking.
Harry was confused. Why was James talking to someone for so long, and why are there screaming? Harry crept pass James, and saw a long snake ready to attack a student. Harry was worried for the girl, and without thinking he shouted, "Stop! Don't attack!"
The snake made eye contact with him.
"And who are you, if I may ask?" The snake hissed.
Harry stared at the creature, stunned.
"You... you understand me?" Harry blinked.
"Yessss, you must be a speaker!" The snake replied, excited.
Harry was shaken, and took his wand out.
"Vipera Evanasca!" Harry pointed it at the snake to get rid of it.
"I? A parselmouth?" Harry mumbled, amused.
The chaos died down, and all eyes were on Harry. They were stunned. First of all, a first year has just vanished the snake, and second of all, he spoke to it. James who is still stunned, told the students to carry on with their activities, and dragged Harry back into their compartment.
"What the hell did you do?" James yelled.
"I... I don't actually know," Harry mused, still shocked, "I never knew that I could do that."
James was furious. This is not good for his reputation. A Potter being a Parselmouth? People would talk! He calmed himself down. He must talk to Albus.
