Chapter 7

Maddie's POV
I wasn't fully asleep the entire time so I could hear everything that luke and Lexie were talking about, but I can't believe that Luke has liked me as long as I have liked him. It's crazy. But I really think that Luke is the one I'm going to spend the rest of my life with.
" Hey Luke are we there yet?"
"Mads your awake, but no we aren't there yet we will be there in about 15 minutes. how was your nap babe?"
"It was ok I mean as comfortable as a nap in a truck can be I guess."
** 15 minutes later**
they had finally arrived at the hospital, Luke and Lexie waited a minute and leg Maddie go ahead of them because Luke said he needed to ask Lexie something.
"hey Lexie do you think it would be outrageous if I asked Maddie to marry me? I mean we've only been dating for a week, but we've both liked each other since the eighth grade and now we are in college so. It's almost like forever."
"Luke I don't think it's outrageous I think Maddie would say yes, but you have to wait until our mom gets better and gets out of the hospital."
" Okay, I'll wait a week after your mom gets out of the hospital and then I will propose to Maddie!"
"You have to make it special Luke, Maddie has always said when she gets proposed to she wants it to be special and unexpected."
"Okay , looks like I've got a lot of planning to do."

"MOM!!!"
"Hey mads, it's good to see you."
"Hey mom!"
"Hi Lexie, and who is this boy?"
"Mom, this is my boyfriend,Luke."
"Oh, wait! Is this THE Luke? The one you've been talking about since you were in 8th grade? "
"Mother!"
"Sorry, but is it?"
"Yes, yes it is.."
"Ok well on other news the doctors said I'll be getting out of here sooner than they thought."
"How soon?" Luke asked nervously.
"Tomorrow, they at releasing me tomorrow."
"Hey Lex can I talk to you for a minute?"
Lexie followed Luke out to the hallway
"What Luke?!"
"The proposal! What am I going to do? I thought I was going to have more time to plan it but I said I'd wait a week and that's next week so I really need to start planning and you're gonna help me."
"Ok Luke calm down, it's not going to be that hard, I'll help you so you have a girls opinion."
"Ok thanks so much lex!"
"No prob, now let's get back in there before they think we are secretly kissing out here or something."
lexie and Luke walked back into the room.
"What were you two doing out there?"maddie questioned
"We were just talking love, nothing to worry about."
