"As we all know, Riverwood High School was founded by late Mr. Frank Gordon, a very renowned educationist. Every year his birthday, the 5th of November, which is around two months from now, is celebrated as Riverwood's Annual Fest. The event has even more value now and delegates from different companies come here on that day. This Fest is more of a fundraiser event, only that it takes place on quite a large scale. It is our job to make sure that this year's fest is also a success. I know that we have a lot of time but trust me, we need all the time that we have. The delegates will inspect all the pros and cons of investing in our school, so we need to make sure the pros outweigh the cons by a large degree. First, we'll have to deal with Homecoming but we need to start working on the Fest right after that. I'll give you the list of things that need to be done by the next few weeks. Now, let's go back to Homecoming..."
We spend around an hour after that in planning the Homecoming. Ryan handed Tyler and Greg the responsibility to plan the themes of Spirit Week. Brittany and her group is in charge of the election of Homecoming King and Queen. Ryan and I are in charge of the Homecoming Dance, and the rest of the Student Council is aiding all of us. With that settled, we end up the meeting.
I stand at the parking lot and wonder how to go home. Andrew has already gone back gone back home because he wanted to watch some movie which is showing on TV today----- very lame excuse, I know. The school bus also left quite sometime ago and I'm in no mood of walking back to home.
"Hey sunshine, what the hell happened to your nose?"
I look up to see Ryan watching me with a frown.
Ahh...I had completely forgotten my nose looks like a rotten potato.
I recount the whole tale from gym class to Ryan. After I finish, he reaches out to touch my nose but I swat his hand away.
"Don't even come 15 centimeters near to my nose, or your nose will be in the same condition."
"Okay, okay. Why are you always so violent?"
"I grew up with an older brother who had an unhealthy obsession with WWE. Who do you think he tried out his new moves on?"
"You don't mean..."he trailed off.
"Yeah, we both spent more than half of our childhood fighting, or rather wrestling with each other for every little thing. Of course,I have a tendency to be violent."
"God, you're way too dangerous for my dear body."
I smirk and say, "Then better keep your dear body safe."
He chuckles and says,"So...why are you standing here instead of going home?"
"I don't have a ride."
"You have a ride right here," he syas, gesturing to himself.
"Thanks," I say, walking with him towards his car.
He leads me to his Escalade and opens the passenger side door for me.
"Welcome to my humble car," he says, bowing.
"It's my pleasure," I say, curtsying in the least graceful manner.
I give him the directions to my house and then the rest of the ride passes with us chattering about books. I thank him when we reach my home and invite him for dinner.
"Sorry sunshine, I won't be able to stay for dinner. I need to run some errands for my mom. Thanks for the offer though.
"Okay. Bye then, baby boy."
"Bye Sunshine, sleep tight."
Ryan drives away and I open the door and head into the living room to find my mom watching me with a wry smile.
