Chapter 8 2/3: Claire's Story + Art

I've been asked by Sasha what life is like before I inhabited her.

I hesitated before saying, my parents trained me and my sister everything we needed to know about life as a fire and ice hybrid. We lived in a small log cabin in Helena-Lewis and Clark National Forest in Montana. (Real place in Montana!) Last year my parents sent us both off to California, while we traveled the state we always stuck together.

Yep. The first bit was all a lie. Me and Roybin remember the first words that were said to us. The first words weren't the normal, 'she's so beautiful'. I didn't say at 4 years old, 'is that my sister?' We did live in a log cabin in Montana. But not in the way you think.

The first words I heard were, 'awaken 303.' The first words my sister heard were, 'awaken 304.' I had a fake memory of me saying, 'is that my sister?' Roybin and I lived in a underground lab, under a log cabin in Montana.

I wasn't raised nor trained by my parents. I was raised by shadow scientists.

Shadow scientists use the element of darkness to create people who can inhabit humans, and use two elements. Like Martha, but evil.

They implanted a evil curse in each experiment so they can take over the world with dark magic. Roybin wasn't as strong as me so they erased the memory of the first words that were said to her. I was stronger so they couldn't change my memories. So they changed the power of my curse, that's why I can't escape Xelqua and he's been in control for so long.

"Who are you?"

"I am Xelqua."

"Why are you here?"

"I'm here to help you."

"How?"

"Sasha treated you badly right?"

"Uh, yes."

Lies.

"You want revenge right?"

"Yes."

LIES.

"That's how I help you."

"What do I do?"

"Let me into you. I'll control you and help you kill Sasha."

"Then I'll be evil."

"I'll take the magic away from you."

LIES!

"How can I trust you?"

"Dark magic oath."

MORE LIES!

"The strongest oath in the magic world? Are you sure?"

"Yes."

"Fine."

As my soul I have been chained down in the back of the mind for 12 years. Barely in control of my body, only used for looking like myself.

By now I've been scratched and hurt by Xelqua when I don't obey many times. He made me destroy cities, town and neighborhoods with out hesitating.

The only reason I'm alive is for making Roybin suffer. At 22 years old, she has to live her life in fear of her own sister, move locations every few days and be a leader she could never be.

Love is live a leaf

It tears at the slightest things

Please save the hate.

I tore the leaf of Roybin any my relationship.
