CHAPTER 6

What's up with him? Did he know that I am not the real Viola? My rubbed my fingers on my temple. No! That is not impossible! No way! I refuse to believe that he does! He is joking, yeah, it's just joking. So far, I think plan B will soon be flush down the toilet before the night ended. Oh fuck.

What is next on my list of plans:

Plan A: Not be engaged with Prince Cesar or any of the main characters (Down the drain).

Plan B: Always avoid Prince Cesar and all main characters (burned in the fire)

So my next option is to do plan C. yeah, no. nu-uh. I ain't changing my name to Bob. Okay, Jessie think. What can you do? I can manage the state affairs well and I can use my knowledge of the system existed in my previous world to improve my people's life. King Alexander is not happy every time I insinuate that I can be a good leader and take care of the kingdom. He said it is too dangerous. Too much backstabbing and shit. King Alexander is such a hard person to convince. I just need a plan to convince him to allow me to annul the engagement and rule the kingdom by myself. I'll think of next move when I return back home.

I went back inside and gather with the crowd of nobles, waiting for the arrival of Prince Zachary. Not long after, a booming voice can be heard. "Your Highness, Crown Prince Zachary Hildegard of Cyrius Kingdom!" I can't see the prince that well from my position, but I can tell that he has finally appeared from the lovestruck sighs of all the ladies in the room. Although, I can tell that he has a tall and strong figure, if my estimation is right, he's about 6' with a white princely attire, descending down the stairs. Drawing from my knowledge about the book, the description of his appearance is not that far off.

I can't really remember what happened afterwards because I wasn't really paying attention (something to do with the crowning ceremony of Prince Zachary) but everyone has started dancing in the middle of the dance floor. I think at this time, the Prince Zachary will ask for Princess Angela for his first dance as a crown prince and both of them will be the center of attention of all the attendees. They'll dance the night away, slowly falling with each other. How romantic.

I can see prince Zachary sitting on his throne, but I can't really see Princess Angela or Prince Cesar. I wonder where they are. I was waiting for the most important event in the novel to occur that I didn't notice Prince Cesar is no longer sitting. Where did he go? He was there before.

The song quickly ended, and everyone on the dance floor are changing their partners for the next song. "Can I have this dance" A voice from behind startled me. I quickly turned around to reject his request and as I was about to do so, I saw his face. Now that I can see Prince Zachary's face, he is even more good looking. He has high cheekbones, warm brown eyes and a strong physique. I was too surprised that I forgot to answer him. "Miss?" He said reaching out his hand for me to take. I thought Princess Angela will be the one sharing a dance with him based on my novel. Why is he here? What am I going to do now? I can't turn him down. That would be rude. "uhm, sure, your highness" I curtsied him and hesitantly take his hand.

He led me to the center of the dance floor, and we started dancing. We started dancing to the song and I can feel that one-by-one the people dancing on the dance floor starts to move away and stand on the sidelines. Now, it is only the two of us. Surprisingly, I feel quite calm. So being unnoticed by Prince Zachary, as predicted, is a big fail.

I can feel their stare burned my back. If they keep staring at me like that, I'll be barbeque soon. It was just silence between the two of us while dancing, but weirdly, it is quite comfortable. "Princess Viola, is it?" Prince Zachary started, trying to fill in the silence between us. "yes, your highness, Princess Viola at your service" I tried to not stutter my sentence. Thankfully, I succeeded.
