CHAPTER 4

I ended up laying on the bed thinking about the diary. What am I going to do now? How can I ask questions without arousing any suspicions that I am not the real Viola? Can someone tell me that this is just a joke? This is not funny.

Nothing much happened for a week. Arlene and some other maids would come in once in a while to help me dress myself, take a shower, bringing food to the room. It's quite boring honestly. There is no sign of King Alexander anywhere. The doctor finally deemed me as fully recovered and I can now roam around and do my princess training again (unfortunately). I now understand why Viola hates her training. The schedule is crazy! What kind of training begins from 6am to 9pm every day? All of the studies are crazy tough. It is even tougher than my university and I studied in a high-ranking university. There is ballroom dancing class, ethics, piano, violin, history, literature, language and politics and that is only for one day. I feel like my brain is about to explode. Luckily, I am a fast learner so no one suspected that I am not Viola.

When I was younger, my mom enrolled me into piano and violin course. I can play the piano and violin quite well and performed a couple of times before I decided to quit. I was too busy with my studies and work that I no longer have the time to play. It is sad though because I actually quite like playing the piano and violin.

I would have classes all days with only short breaks in between. I haven't seen Prince Cesar. Maybe king Alexander rejected his engagement proposal consecutively that he decided to just give up. At this point, I feel like in the end, regardless if it is Prince Zachary or Prince Cesar, everything will still stay the same. At least if I am engaged with Prince Zachary, I can just dip peacefully when he falls in love with Princess Angela and live in Hermossa peacefully.

Not being involved appears to not be so easy (as always, the universe is against me). The next day, king Alexander came in when I was on my break. "Viola?" he called me as he sits down in front of the couch I am sitting on. "yeah dad?"

"Remember last time when you fell from the tree?" He asked unsurely. "Yeah dad, I did. Is something wrong? I am fine now dad, so you don't have to worry about me I-" My dad cut me before I started to ramble "I know, the imperial doctor has informed me" he looked at me nervously. "Do you remember when I have to leave you because Cesar and his dad came in? Well..." He grimaced. "You are now engaged with him".

"What?" I whispered, shocked. My eyes look like they are about to pop out of my skulls. That's just how surprised I am. "why?" I whined, with a loud voice. I don't care if I sound like a brat but right now, my peace matters most. "Didn't you say that you don't want to marry Prince Zachary? Cesar is willing to take responsibility for the scars because of the fall. He admitted that it is his idea and he wanted to take responsibility. I love you and I will always love you, but I worry that Prince Zachary will give you a hard time because you have those scars, so I decided to annul the engagement. Cesar is a good friend of yours and his father is my best friend. Uniting with Solis will also bring great benefits to our kingdom" He what? Oh right, this is still the medieval era, I almost forgot. People are concerned about those things. "Dad, can I just not get married?" I can feel my heart beats rapidly. I am definitely done for. The universe just loves to f*** with me to the point that I don't need a man anymore because the universe fucks me every time.

"No! Of course not! Who will take care of you when you are old? And getting married is a duty for a royalty!" He rises from his seat abruptly. "Are you worried that something bad will happen?" he said in a gentler voice after he noticed I was quite shaken from his tone. He then approaches me and pat my head gently. "Don't worry, your dad is here, whoever dares try to hurt you will die" His eyes blazing with fury, full of promise. "But I-" I was about to complain before my ballroom dancing teacher, Mr. McClaren, walks in. "Princess Viola, it is time for you to practice your dancing skills" he didn't realize that king Alexander is there, and he was surprised to see him. "Your Ma-Majesty, My apologies" he quickly bowed and is about to leave until king Alexander said "That's alright, I am leaving soon to do my duties, please take care of my daughter" and with that the conversation with Viola's dad ended. "Your Highness, let us begin"

Time flies by so fast, and the next thing I know, tonight is King Zachary's welcoming banquet soon. That's what happened when you are busy every day. My princess training has been less intense, so now I have more free time. Prince Zachary will be 16 soon, the same with all the other main characters in this novel. This means that I only have 4 more years to avoid my cruel faith. I have not met Prince Cesar yet, in the last four years. I avoid him like a plague. Every time he sent me a letter to ask for my request to visit, I will decline. So far, I can say, the plan is working. I am a bit worried though, all the main characters of the novels will be there tonight, if I can get through tonight without talking to any of them, then everything should be fine but if it does not happen, I have drafted my plans to avoid my doom:

Plan A: Not be engaged with Prince Cesar or any of the main characters (Down the drain).

Plan B: Always avoid Prince Cesar and all main characters (progressing well).

Plan C: Fake my death, run away, change my name into Bob and live as a commoner (additional perk: I can travel).

Plan D: Learn how to do sorcery, be a witch and create a portal (I know witches are not real, not even in this world, but who knows? I am Desperate!).

I am counting of Plan B, other plans are more complicated. "Princess, We are done!" Arlene said after she finish helping me dress up in this beautiful medieval style dress with the other maids. The long dress is simple with a light blue color. There is a lace ribbon on the hips which is bunched into a cute bow on the back. I love simple things. "Thank you!" I said gratefully, getting up from my seat. The dresses in this novel are pretty, but they are really complicated to wear. Back in my own world, I never dress up. I was always busy, and I just wear any clothes available (mostly oversized hoodies and long jeans).

My chaperone helped me up the horse carriage. Wearing dresses are so uncomfortable. I sit down near the huge window, the wind gently blows on my face as the horses starts to gallop into the night. Princess Angela will meet Prince Zachary soon, the novel is about to start.
