Chapter 6: You Know That You Make It Shine

"The last time we saw each other was Thursday morning and it's only a few days but it felt like I haven't seen you for years" Demeter pulled Zeus in a corner "I even doubted that you'll come to Lolo Uranus's party, but you're here ... I miss you Z.C." gave him a quick hug and pulled away

"Dee-Dee" Zeus staring at Demeter with sad eyes "I want to do more with you now that you're in front of me and we're this close but I have to suppress my urge, this isn't real ... we're just use on living together and now that we've been separated ... it's only in our mind" holding himself back

"Then I'm sorry, I should've have known better" Demeter left Zeus behind the curtain "You're basically throwing yourself at him" talking to herself

"Dee" Rain grabbed Demeter's shoulder "Where did you go? I've been looking all over for you; you know that I left a bad impression to your family"

"I just talk to someone" Demeter took a sip of champagne that Rain got for her "Don't worry they won't kill you for it"

"That's very comforting" Rain being sarcastic "Now that you're here ... shall we dance? You still owe me a dance remember? On the acquaintance party?"

"Fine" Demeter give her hand to Rain as they both walk to the dance floor "How could you still remember that? You were just a freshman back then"

"How could I forget the girl in glasses with a pretty smile on her face?" Rain leading Demeter on the dance steps "You wore a yellow dress, right?"

"Yellow as corn ... I was shy when you asked me to dance" Demeter reminiscing the past "Everyone's eyes were on me because of you, that's why I refused your invitation and made up a lie" looking at Rain "Come to think of it that was before we bumped into each other in the science lab"

"It was love at first sight, that's why when the first time we bumped to each other I had the courage to tell you what's on my mind" Rain staring at Demeter "You look good in glasses, oh, even your smile is pretty" saying the exact words he said to Demeter when he intentionally bumped to her

"And that's when the rumor about us began" Demeter slightly pulled Rain "If only we've been true to ourselves back then, instead of playing games"

"We must be married by now and parents of a beautiful child ... I should be on his place" Rain holding back his tears "I'm dumbest of the dumb"

"May I dance with my sister?" Pluto cuts in "You two were dancing for so long, people may start a rumor if I just let you have your sweet time"

"Of course," Rain let go of Demeter "Excuse me for a while" immediately wiped his fallen tear as he turns his back to Demeter

"While you're having fun with your lover, we've been busy not letting any other woman near Z.C." Pluto dancing with Demeter "Z.C. is quite famous"

"To make it clear, Rain and I are just friends or maybe not because he doesn't want to but definitely, we're not lovers ... about those women targeting Z.C. who are them?!" Demeter looking around to find Zeus "Will you do me a favor Toto? Please tell him to come to me, I'll guard him myself"

"You don't have to ask Ter, I'm intended to do it that's why I want you to dance with me" Pluto began his act "Ah Ter, I want you to meet my close friend, Zeus Ceres" introducing Zeus to Demeter while everyone is watching "He's like my brother so I called him Z.C." pushing Zeus to Demeter

"What's going on?" Zeus speaking to Pluto without a sound as he was in shocked with a sudden push

"Z.C. is very shy with strangers he prefers if other people initiate conversations and gets close to him" Pluto tapping Zeus back "If I were him, I should be very proud, he studied in York University in Canada and graduated in Ohio State University in America as geodetic engineer" making Zeus known to the other guests at the party who are listening to their conversation "He's now even an employee to Nevaeh Aircraft Company"
