I can’t believe it’s been four months. Four months since I agreed to date Zayn Malik. We’ve gotten so close to each other and I knew he was the prince charming I’ve been waiting for. The only thing that got better than that was seeing Zayn and Ryder’s relationship grow. Ryder definitely should’ve been Zayn’s son.
Even things with the paparazzi and fans were getting better. Of course they harassed the crap out of me every time I even thought about going outside, but I was learning to deal with it. Zayn promised me that if I kept ignoring them like I was, they’d leave me and Ryder alone. Hopefully he was right.
After not seeing my parents in eight months, I thought they deserved to see their grandson. So on a vacation from work, Ryder and I hopped on a plane back to the United States, leaving Zayn in London. Enough time has passed, that I was positive that there was nothing between him and Perrie.
Now, here I was, on another plane headed back to London. Ryder was having a bad day and I don’t know why. “Please stop crying…” I mumbled over and over, but he wouldn’t be quiet.
Finally the plane landed and I was more than thrilled to grab my stuff and exit the plane. As soon as I stepped back into the chilly, misty air, I spotted my boyfriend. Of course my parents had heard that I was involved with a celebrity, but they didn’t question me on Zayn… they knew it wasn’t the right time.
I didn’t even smile when I got over to him. I simply handed over my son, who to no surprise stopped wailing as soon as Zayn had him in his arms.
“He hasn’t stopped since we boarded the plane!” I said, rolling my eyes. Zayn chuckled.
“Nice to see you too, Ellie.” He said, giving me a quick peck on the cheek.
I sighed. “I’m sorry. I get fed up easily… he’s always a good kid. It’s like I don’t know what to do when he’s in a bad mood.” Zayn was still looking at me, amusement in his dark brown eyes. I realized what he was waiting for. “Glad to see you, Zayn. I missed you.”
“And so did Ryder…” Zayn laughed.
With Ryder in one hand, and my hand laced through his other, he led me through the crowd of people with cameras, and occasionally waving to a fan. When we safe in the car, he kissed me for real, and not just on my cheek for the cameras to see. His warm lips pressed against mine and every little fear floated away.
“Want me to just order a pizza?” Zayn asked once we got back to my house. Ryder was sound asleep on the couch.
“Why don’t we cook a pizza?” I asked.
Once again, I saw amusement in his eyes. “If you insist…. But I’d rather just watch.”
“You’re not just going to watch… You’re helping.” I said. Or you don’t eat.” I added with a smirk.
I pulled out all of the ingredients I thought we’d need. “Come roll out the dough.” He shook his head. “Let’s go, Zayn. Roll the dough out.”
He sighed, but couldn’t resist. After a minute of watching him struggle, I gave up. “Go sit down. I got this.”
I ended up making the whole pizza and when I was taking it out of the oven, he laughed. “What’s funny?” I asked.
“Nothing… you look so cute in your apron and messy bun.”
“Now that is funny… Come eat.”
