The Chance Encounter

"See, the pizza was great! I always chhose the best places. ", Lisa said proudly.

"Yeah yeah. All hail queen Lisa. The picker of great restaurants.", Amanda said sarcastically. The had just had a huge delicious pizza and were on their way back to the dorm.

"Well, restaurants is not all that I have great taste in Mandy. That cute boy near the stop sign ahead has had his eyes on you for a while now. And he has managed to pass the best friend's vibe check." Curious, Amanda raised her eyes and looked towards the stop sign where the supposedly cute boy was. When she saw who that was, she stopped dead in her tracks. There he was, standing in all his perfection with his dark hair and that intense gaze she fell in love with. Her first real crush, Brian was stamding right infront of her and he was staring back at her.

Seeing her stare back at him, Brian flashed a smile and waved at her, making his way toward her. "Hi Amanda. I thought that was you. It has been so long. How have you been?", Brian asked her.

"Ummm. Fine. Yeah, I'm fine. What are you doing here? How've you been? How's everything? Are you fine? Well, I hope you are fine.", Amanda blurted out nervously as her face went red. "Oh my god. I'm so sorry. I'm blurting out nonsense again."

"Haha. That's alright. I think it's cute.", he smiled down at her. "Yeah, I've been good too. Surviving you know. I go to college near here. Milestone University."

"Oh! I'm going there too. By the way, this is my friend Lisa. And this is Brian.", Amanda introduced them.

"Huh. That's great. I guess I'll be seeing you a lot then huh?", Brian said.

"Uhhh. Yeah. Haha. I.. I guess so....", Amanda trailed off.

"We should hang out sometimes. Catch up."

"I'd love to do that... I mean, yeah we should totally meet up soon."

"Okay, see you around. And you too Lisa", Brian said as he bid them farewell.
