"So, how's your relationship with Freddie going?"
Jade choked on her coffee, coughing it up as Cat gasped and tried to help her, well, not die.
Tori raised an eyebrow, looking at the goth that had finally calmed down from her mini-choking fit.
"Wait, you're dating Freddie? Oh my gosh, why didn't you tell me?"
Jade shot Cat a glare, who shrunk back under her gaze. "I'm not dating Freddie!"
Tori pouted. "Aw!"
Jade turned her glare to the Latina, who was sitting cross-legged on the couch. "Freddie and I are just friends, how many times do I have to tell people this?"
"As many times as it takes for you to actually believe it yourself," Cat piped up from her spot on the floor.
Jade's nostrils flared in frustration. "I do believe it, because it's true!"
"Mhm. Sure."
Jade let out an irritated sigh, sinking back into the couch. "Why did I agree to come over here."
"Because you love us," Cat teased her, making the raven haired beauty scoff.
"Not true."
"Yes it is."
"No it's not."
"Yes it is!"
"No its- "
"Okay!" Tori exclaimed, clasping her hands together as she sat up straighter. "Maybe we should just- "
The brunette was cut off by her doorbell ringing and she sighed, standing up and walked over to answer the door.
"Freddie?"
Jade immediately perked up at hearing his name, her stomach fluttering as she saw the brown-eyed boy walk in happily.
"Why are you happy?" Jade asked, smiling at him.
He grinned. "Sam and I got back together!"
Jade's smile faltered.
"Oh," Jade stared down at her lap for a second, then looked back up at him, trying to maintain a happy voice. "That's...great!"
Freddie's grin became wider. "I know! We patched things up, and she seems like she's changed!"
Tori and Cat watched as the goth tried to smile, but the two both knew that she was heartbroken.
"I-I thought you broke up with her, though," Jade reminded him softly. "You said she wasn't right for you, remember?"
Freddie shrugged. "Well, yeah. But like I said, she's changed. She actually wants to try this time. It's pretty great."
Jade nodded, looking back down at her lap. "I'm happy for you, Freddie."
Freddie never noticed how broken she was. "Thanks!"
