Chapter Thirty Four

It's been a dreadful week since Lincoln has been in a medically induced coma. I have been leading the pack with the help and guidance from Brent and Jake.

"Hey Brielle." I glanced back at the door to see Brent walk in. I was currently sitting on the same chair I've been on most of the week.

"How are you holding up?" He asked me placing a comforting hand on my shoulder. I just shrugged and looked down at Lincoln's sleeping figure.

"How is Erin doing I heard she woke up yesterday, I was planning on going to visit her soon." I told him changing the subject from me.

"Yeah she's been doing well, but if your planning on talking to her, you may need to schedule an appointment with Jake first. He is stressing over his newly found mate like crazy." Laughed Brent trying to lighten up the mood. I was happy for Jake, now it's just Brent who needs to find his mate.

"Why don't you go get some sleep I doubt you've gotten any in a while, I'll stay with him and get you if anything happens." He told me but I shook my head. I really didn't want to leave Lincoln's side. This was my fault, I wasn't quick enough to take out that rogue.

I gripped onto Lincoln's hand and held on afraid that I was going to lose him. Now, in this very moment I would be happy if we were fighting, just because he would be here and awake. I felt tears fill in my eyes at the fact that he might never wake up.

"It's not your fault, Brielle." Brent frowned kneeling down on the floor so he was eye level with me. He wrapped his arms around me and let me cry on his shoulder. I tried to stop the sobs that were wracking through my body but it was no use. We stayed like this for a few minutes until I got a handle on myself.

James was taking this pretty hard but he has Rosa to help him through it now which is good at least. He told me he was going to stop by some time today but still hasn't shown up.

3 hours later

Lincoln was flatlining on the bed right now and I was completely breaking. Lana and a few nurses were desperately trying to save him but it wasn't looking good. James was standing behind me crying with Rosa trying her best to support both of us.

I felt an overwhelming pain in my heart they were losing the love of my life. I screamed and ran over to him shoving a few nurses out of the way. I gripped onto his shirt and held on like my life depended on it. I sobbed as I dug my head into his chest. I felt an arm trying to pull me away but then they retreated as gasps filled the room. I felt a little woozy probably from all the crying but then I felt like I was hallucinating. I cried as I heard groans coming from Lincoln as he opened his eyes slowly.

I looked back at everyone confused, however I was only greeted with looks of shock. Lana rushed over and glanced at Lincoln's wound, it was completely healed. How did I do that? She also walked over to the machine and was in complete shock.

"His vitals are all back to normal." She said in awe.

"You saved him Brielle." Smiled James walking towards us. He pulled Lincoln into a hug. How did I save him?

"I thought I lost you." James spoke quietly.

"What happened?" He frowned glancing at me really quick. I went to answer when I felt myself lose balance and almost fall to the ground. Lincoln tightened his grip on me as my body went limp and darkness swarmed my vision.

Lincoln's POV

I grabbed onto Brielle's limp body and pulled her up so her head was against my shoulder. Rosa hurried over to the side of the bed and glanced sadly at an unconscious Brielle in my arms.

"I've never seen or heard of anyone that could do what she just did. This is probably her body just healing itself after that." Rosa spoke glancing at Brielle.

Lana walked over and pulled out her flashlight. I flipped her over so she was facing the foot of the bed, but still laying limp against his chest. Lana turned on the small light with a click and lifted up her eyelids. She jumped back and screamed, dropping the flashlight in the process.

"What?!?" I growled frantically turning her head so he could see. He slowly dragged up her eyelid and saw that her eyes were completely black.

"Her demon took over? Is it healing her?" I asked Rosa.

"Likely. Lets just let her get some rest." Spoke Rosa. "Is it alright if she stays with you in here? With you guys being mates and all it could help with her healing process."

"Yes." I growled pulling her impossibly closer to me. My wolf was acting extra possessive over her and I wasn't sure why. He was growling inside my head and pushing to come out but I wouldn't let him, shifting this close to someone could be lethal and I would never want to hurt her, never. Rosa excused herself and told us she was heading back to her cottage to figure some things out.

I shifted her so she was laying across my lap with her head on my shoulder. When I woke up and saw her on top of me, I was extremely confused, everyone was crying and shocked at the same time. Was I dead? Something felt off and in needed to get to the bottom of it. All I really remember was that I was yelling at Brielle to get out of that warehouse and i would hold them off, but that's it.

A few hours later

I felt a shifting on my lap so I cracked my eyes open to see Brielle starting to wake up. I scooted up so that I was in a sitting position as I waited for her to open her eyes.

"Brielle, Baby?" I asked shaking her shoulders slightly. She gasped for air as her eyes shot open and she saw me. She threw her arms around my neck and held on for dear life.

"I was so scared that you were going to leave me." She muttered as her tears began staining my shirt.

"I would never leave you." I told her tightening my arms around her waist.

"I love you so much." She breathed snuggling into my neck.

"I love you even more."
