Breaking Solstice PART 2

Chapter 10

Caden and Stella then finish their bath, put on their outfits for the next day and go to their bedroom and lay on their bed as they embrace each other. Early that morning at 5:15 AM, Caden and Stella then sense that Orion and Ranessa are awake and scared. Orion and Ranessa then knock on the door to their parents room.

Orion: *while knocking* Mom, Dad?

Stella: come in.

Ranessa and Orion in their PJs walk in

Stella: are you guys alright?

Orion: not really, we're feeling alittle scared of the Luyturians right now and we can't fall back asleep.

Caden: Aw, don't be afraid you guys. Everything will be alright. Why don't you guys come sit with us.

Caden and Stella make room for Orion and Ranessa to sit on the bed with them. Orion sits next to Caden as Ranessa sits next to Stella. Caden holds Orion close as Stella holds Ranessa close

Caden: you guys want to tell us what's wrong?

Ranessa: *tears up* were just, scared, that we're gonna die *holds onto Stella*

Orion: *tears up* I'm scared too *huddles into Caden's chest*

Caden comforts Orion as Stella comforts Ranessa. Orion and Ranessa then cry in their parent's arms.

Stella: we understand how you guys feel. We're nervous too. Life on this planet can be very scary sometimes. A lot of things have happened on this planet. Life isn't always fun and perfect. But your safe with us. *kisses Ranessa's head*

Caden: this will all be over soon. That's why everyone from the other worlds are at the other house. Your grandpa and step grandma gathered them all there to keep us safe. They all have special powers to protect us. Your mother and I will never let anyone hurt you guys. *kisses Orion's head*

Stella: plus, we have a fun day planned for you guys tomorrow. Tomorrow you guys are going to your maternal grandparent's house for the day and they will take good care of you guys.

The family then hold each other close for the rest of the night. The next evening, Stella is driving Ranessa and Orion to Arnie and Summer's house. On the car ride there, Stella then discusses her errand she has to run to Area 51 to have a meeting with a lawyer that Zac knows. Orion then overhears her conversation about Area 51.

Orion: that place sounds awesome! We're otherworldly beings. I know we'd get away with going there.

Ranessa: yea, you can go, but have fun trying not to get caught cuz we can't freeze time like mom and dad can.

Orion: mom, how come we can't come with you to Area 51?

Stella: because, only a very few amount of people get to go there. What they do is a HUGE secret. And besides, your paternal grandpa, step grandma, uncles and aunt Ada know and seen people there. Some of them know our secret and they promised to keep it safe. I have a very important meeting there with a lawyer they met many years ago when they first landed here on Earth. Plus, you guys won't be missing out on much, you guys will be having fun at your grandparents house while I have to take care of more business.

Orion: ok, we understand.

Stella: that a boy Orion! that was very respectful of you to understand. I'm proud of how much you guys learned and matured.

Stella finally pulls the car up to Arnie and Summer's house. Arnie and Summer come outside as Ranessa and Orion run out of the car to them.

Orion and Ranessa: Grandma! Grandpa!

Arnie and Summer: hey guys!

Ranessa runs to Arnie as Orion runs to Summer. Arnie swings Ranessa as Summer hugs and kisses Orion.

Arnie: look at you guys! You've grown almost half a foot these past few months! Dang Stells, you weren't kidding about their half alien DNA.

Summer: and we thought Stella grew up quickly. *giggles*

Arnie: Stells, do you wanna come in for abit? We remember how much you love Christmas!

Stella: i'd love to but i actually have some important errands to run at Area 51. I got a few things to take care of. I'll be back at 8:30 to pick Orion and Ranessa up. *to Orion and Ranessa* you guys behave alright? Don't give your grandparents a hard time like I did *laughs*

Arnie: and if they do, it won't be a problem. It'll be just like the old days all over again.

Stella: ok. I will see you guys tonight.

Orion and Ranessa: Bye mom!

Stella: bye guys! *drives off*

Summer: alright you guys! We got a Christmas tree to decorate and we got Christmas goodies to bake!

Arnie, Summer and Orion and Ranessa walk inside. The inside of the house is all decorated for Christmas since the current date is mid December. Orion and Ranessa help their grandparents decorate their Christmas tree. Then their next activity is baking Christmas goodies.

Summer: when your mother was little and even til before she married your father, she absolutely loved Christmas and helping us bake treats.

Arnie: and your aunts Cindy and Kelly would also come over and help decorate and bake.

Summer: and sometimes they'd help us decorate the entire house. And your mother and aunts would always play in the snow and play with the decorations. *tears up* what precious Christmas memories.

Ranessa: Christmas time is so cool! I already love it! it is a really fun time of year!

Orion: I love it too! So many cool lights and fun things to do!

Orion and Ranessa then help finish helping Arnie and Summer bake treats for Christmas.

Arnie: we also have a little surprise for you guys upstairs.

Ranessa: Really?

Orion: Yay!

Arnie and Summer lead Orion and Ranessa upstairs to Stella's old bedroom which is now a hangout space for Orion and Ranessa.

Summer: this was your mother's room while she lived here but since she and your father have their own place with you guys now, we thought we'd turn it into a little game room for you guys when you guys visit.

Stella's old bedroom is now repainted with white walls with colorful strands of lights all around and has old arcade games, a pool table, an air hockey table, a popcorn and soda machine, a lounge corner with beanbags, a home theater couch with a flat screen TV that has movies and video games, ski ball, a corner with some of Stella's old toys and all kinds of fun home activities to do.

Ranessa and Orion look around the room in amazement

Orion: this is so cool, grandma and grandpa!

Summer: we're glad you guys like it. We made it just for you.

Orion and Ranessa: thank you!

Arnie: no problem kiddos. Nothing but the best for our grandchildren. Now go ahead and play.

Orion and Ranessa then play the games as Arnie and Summer join them.
