The boys carried the girl they found in the woods all the way to the front porch of Will's house. Mike stays on the steps with the girl still in his arms as Will pounds on the front door. Will's mother walks out, confused as to why he didn't just walk in like usual. She sees the reason.
"Oh my god!", She exclaims, looking at the girl with a shaved head and in blood soaked clothes.
"We found her while walking through the woods. She was still breathing so we thought that we should bring her back here and you would know what to do.", Mike explains.
"Let's get her inside.", Joyce says, frantically.
They carry her inside and place her on the couch. Nancy and Jonathan come out of Jonathan's room and notice the unfamiliar girl on the couch.
"What's going on?", Nancy asks.
"We found this girl in the woods. She was bleeding and we thought that we should help her. So, we carried her back here.", Will explains.
"Nancy, go get the first-aid kit from the bathroom. Jonathan, go get some of the clothes in the back of my closet. Will, go call Hop. Mike, stay with her while I get a bowl of water.", Joyce orders. Everyone does as told.
As Joyce exits the kitchen, Mike notices the girl's breathing quicken. He tries to sooth her, her eyes shoot open. She sits up and tries to move away from the boy.
"Hey, hey, hey. You may not want to do that.", Mike warns.
Joyce rushes over and quickly puts the bowl down and tries to calm her.
"We are trying to help you, okay?", Joyce says. The girl calms and nods.
"What's your name?", Mike asks.
The girl looks at him confused.
"What's your name, sweetie?", Joyce asks.
"E-Electryone.", The girl stutters out.
"Okay. How old are you?", Joyce asks.
"Uhm. F-F-Fourteen.", She says.
"Do you know what happened?", Joyce asks. The girl shakes her head.
"Hopper, should be coming soon.", Will says as he walks back into the living room with Nancy and Jonathan.
"Okay. Mike, Will, Jonathan, please leave the room, Nancy and I have to take care of Electryone's wounds.", Joyce says.
The boys leave and Joyce rolls up the girl's shirt to reveal two inch long gash in the middle of her abdomen.
"Jesus-", Nancy gasps.
"Okay, Electryone, I'm going to put this cloth on your stomach, okay?", Joyce says, starting to explain the process of tending to the wound.
"Okay.", The girl says apprehensively.
Nancy and Joyce finish tending to the wound as a rapid knock comes to the door. Nancy gets up to get it.
"What's wrong? Will didn't explain the situation on the phone...", Hopper trails off as he sees the girl on the couch.
"Electryone, the bathroom is down the hall, I want you to go in there and change into these clothes, okay? Just be careful with your bandages.", Joyce says and helps the girl up from the couch.
The girl walks down the hall to the bathroom. Mike walks out of the room down the hall and saw the girl standing by three doors.
"This one's the bathroom, in case you were wondering.", The boy says as he opened the door on the right.
The girl walks in and the boy starts to close the door but, the girl stops it.
"No.", She says.
"You don't want it closed?", He says confused.
The girl shakes her head.
"How about we leave it like this?", the raven haired boy asks as he closes the door all but 3 inches.
Through the crack in the door he sees the girl nod.
"Thank you.", He hears as he turns around to walk into the living room.
The boy started thinking about the girl as he walked, the odd circumstances, her uncommon name, her brown eyes and rosy cheeks...
He shake the thoughts out of his head as he enters the living room.
"So, Mike and Will just found the girl in the woods and brought her back here?", The chief asks.
"Yes.", Mike confirms, making his presence in the room known.
Mike goes to sit down on the couch as Will and Jonathan enter the room. A few minutes pass and the girl emerges from the bathroom with a clean face wearing blue sweatpants, a Hawkins high tshirt, and a flannel.
The girl takes a seat and everyone in the room starts bombarding her with questions; 'Who are her parents?', 'Where does she live?', ect. The girl, overwhelmed, stays silent while looking at everyone in fear.
"Everyone shut up!", Mike yells.
"Can't you tell she's scared?", He says once everyone quieted.
"Mike's right. She probably won't answer our questions right now." , Will says.
The girl looks at the boys with gratitude.
"Are you hungry, sweetie?", Joyce asks the girl.
She nods.
"Let's go to Benny's to get pick up some burgers.", Will says.
"Jonathan and I are going back to my place.", says Nancy.
"Mike, will you be okay here with Electryone while Will, Hop, and I go get food?", Joyce asks.
"Yeah. Nancy, can you tell mom I'm staying at Will's tonight?", Mike says.
And with that they all went their separate ways, leaving Mike with the girl.
"Electryone?", The boy asks cautiously, perking the girl's attention and she looks at him.
"Yes?"
"We never really introduced ourselves to eachother."
"I guess not."
"Well, I'm Mike short for Micheal.", He says holding out his hand for her to shake.
"I'm Electryone.", The girl looks at his hand inquisitively.
"Look," Mike takes her hand and shakes it. Their eyes meet, their hand motions slow, and they stare at each other.
Mike shakes his head and releases her hand. He coughs awkwardly.
"Wha- what if we called you El short for Electryone? Would you be okay with that?", He asks.
"I'd like that.", The girl nods and the corners of her mouth lift slightly.
"Okay. So, nice to meet you El.", Mike laughs out nervously.
"Nice to meet you too, Mike.", El giggles.
