The Prophecy

Chapter 14

That night Aiden drove us back to college to pick up our things. He also promised that when we get back he would gave us a little tour. When we got out, we realized that he wasn’t lying. This place was York Minister. Only it was scarier at night. 

 It’s turrets were like they were touching the night although there was dim light everywhere in the building but it still scared the crap outta me. It has a cruciform plan with an octagonal chapter house attached to the north transept, a central tower and two towers at the west front

The two west towers of the minster holds bells clock chimes and a concert carillon. The clock bell ring every quarter of an hour during the daytime kind of make me wonder how were vampires coping with this. I wouldn’t stand it.  The Cathedral  had also stained glass, which made it kind of dangerous for vampires since it let the sun poured inside the building. Seems like Aiden had a lot of explanation to give us.

  When he drove us to college he decided to stay back at the car and waited for us. 

  As soon as we were back on our dorm, we packed everything we wanted but we didn’t went out.

‘’What about the girls? We must tell them something or they’ll worry.’’  Isabelle told me. I signed. Where have we gotten ourselves into?

‘’We’re spending winter break on our grandparents.’’ I said shrugging

‘’Yeah… We’ll tell them grandpa got sick.’’ 

‘’Ok. I’ll go to Monica and Felicity.’’ I announced

‘’Ok then I’ll go to Emma and Vanessa and we’ll meet outside.’’ She replied as she opened the door. I nodded and she left.

 When I knocked to Monica’s room, Felicity was there too.

‘’Where have you been?’’ Monica asked and pulled me in, closing the door behind me.

‘’Around. Erm.. anyway. Me and Isabelle we’re leaving.’’ I told them hoping they wouldn’t understand I was lying. And I hated lying to them.

‘’Now?’’ Felicity asked looking confused

‘’Yeah. My grandpa got sick, nothing to worry about but we have to go.’’ I said making a face

‘’Oh I see.’’ Felicity nodded

‘’You will return before college start again right? We need to go out.’’ Monica flashed me a smiled which I return.

‘’I’ll call you.’’ I gave her a quick hug and Felicity’s too and after we said goodbye, I opened the door, pull my backpack above my shoulder and start walking toward the door. 

 I knew there was someone else I needed to say goodbye but I wasn’t so sure if that someone wanted to talked to me.

 I ended up at his doorstep as I decided I couldn’t leave without saying goodbye first. After taking a deep breath I knocked.

 He opened the door and when his gray eyes found mine, he looked surprise to see me. Then his gaze fell on my backpack.

‘’Where are you going?’’ He said. I managed to give him a small smile.

‘’Winter’s break is tomorrow but our grandpa kind of got sick so we have to go.’’ I replied, he nodded

‘’Well…’’

‘’Listen Ryan, I’m sorry okay? For..lying to you. I don’t know why I kissed him, I mean like.. he dosen’t care about like you do. He’s nothing.’’ I said. Telling the words out loud made me realize I was right. Maybe Chace had saved me but he probably did it because he had to not because he wanted to.
