The Prophecy

Chapter 9

 I didn’t went back to my room. I didn’t want to wake up Isabelle and it wasn’t only that I was crying, I was sobbing too. Aiden lead me to another room, probably his own and sat me down on the bed. He then closed the door and sat beside me.

‘’It’s not your fault ok? Relax.’’  He whispered in a calm voice

‘’Why…is he doing this?’’  I managed to say between my sobs.

‘’Because he’s always like that. He acts like he dosent care about anything, but if you get to know him you’ll see he has a good heart.’’  If the situation wasn’t as serious I would laugh. Chace hadn’t had a heart.

‘’Come on Annabelle don’t cry.’’ He patted my shoulder in an attempt to show me his sympathy.

‘’I cant.’’ I sniffed

‘’Yes you can. Look at me.’’  I did. With his index finger he wiped away my tears and gave me a charming smile.

‘’Don’t cry ok?’’  He repeated

‘’I don’t wanna wake up Isabelle.’’  I replied

‘’Then stay here. Vampires don’t need sleep after all. And you’ll be safe.’’  He said still smiling. I just nodded without saying anything and lay down to bed. I curled up bringing my kneels to my chest and closed my eyes. Although a sober escaped my throat

‘’Shh… It’s all gonna be alright. I’m not gonna let him hurt you again.’’  He lay beside me, with his head on his elbow and start petting my hair. 

‘’Now sleep.’’  He went on. To my surprise his soft words and him patting my hair it kind of did calm me down. My breath was slowing down and I closed my eyes. Without realizing it I drifted back to sleep.

 The next morning I felt someone poking me on my shoulder and I sat up. It was Isabelle.

‘’Good morning.’’  She said. I yanked and rubbed my eyes so I can focus on her better. I wasn’t a morning person.

‘’Aiden is ready to drive us back to college.’’  She went on. Aiden.. So I did had fallen asleep in his bed while he was comforting me. Yeah well..

‘’Lets go.’’  I said and rose to my feet.

 The three of us get in Aiden’s car and he start the engine. He starred at me and smile

‘’Good morning.’’  

‘’Good morning.’’ I replied hoping that I didn’t show anything of what had happened last night. I knew that Isabelle liked him so I didn’t want to ruin this.

‘’I don’t want to do anything.’’  Isabelle complained

‘’Yeah neither do i.’’  In fact I wanted only to curled up in my bed and scream or cry. And I wanted coffee or chocolate.

‘’Can we ditched for today?’’  Aiden looked at me from the rearview mirror, his blue eyes sparkling

‘’I don’t have a problem with that.’’  He said

‘’Me neither.’’  Isabelle agreed. I smiled

 So fifteen minutes later we were sitting at Starbucks and I was finally drinking some coffee. Since me and Isabelle were still wearing last night clothes some people were looking curiously at us but at least we had other things to worry about. I hadn’t tell her exactly what had happened last night but I would as soon as we get back.

‘’So.. Vampires don’t drink?’’  She teased Aiden with a low voice.

‘’That’s just stories. We do drink and eat only it’s not important like it is for you.’’
