It was dark, so dark. She tried to open her eyes, but found that she could not. It felt as if lead weighed them down. And it hurt. The darkness helped though. She could feel the pain - mental and physical - ebbing away as she let go...

She could hear him, it was as if he were right next to her, begging her not to go.

I need you.

He was fading away.

"Wait!" She wanted to say, to shout, to scream. It felt as though she were drowning in nothingness. She reached for him, grasping wildly, clutching air and mist in her feeble hands. Finding nothing, she slumped back to the ground.

"Where are you?"

I'm right here.

"Please don't leave me." she pleaded.

Don't worry. I am right here.

And she was gone.
