[First Name] eyed the team, observing them one by one. She could see that Hinata was one of the members who was excited to play when she said that, eventually, she felt bad that Hinata wasn't involved in the game. She knew that the younger would be bummed the moment that she tells him the truth but it was inevitable. He needed to change the way he plays, else, he will have a hard time when they play with other teams who specialize in those attacks. That weakness could be detrimental to the team if not acted upon.
She sighed, "Hinata, you're not playing." The boy's excitement immediately shattered at the comment, his smile dropping. He couldn't believe what he had just heard.
"What?" He shrieked, "But I want to play too!" He whines like a kid, but she pays no attention to it. "You're so cruel, [First Name]-san!"
"You have no choice, you're going to watch us from behind. I figured that if you focus on something, you'll be able to do what you see." She said, "Listen, 'kay? You only look at the ball, this time, try to look at the surroundings and look at how others receive the ball. It might get to you and you'll move because of your instincts."
His eyes sparkled, "You really know how to play! You said that you don't know how."
"Well, surprise, I guess?" She said, "C'mon, no time to waste." She transferred his gaze from Hinata to the libero who was watching her the entire time. "Nishinoya-kun will team up with me." She said, grabbing his wrist
There was a spark. She didn't felt that, but Nishinoya did. He glanced at her hand that's carefully holding his wrist, while moving back and forth as she continues to walk towards the other members. She was basically dragging him all over the place, but he didn't mind.
"I want to team up with you too!" Tanaka said, she shook her head and denied
"It's fine, I'll go with him," She said, pointing at Nishinoya, "And well," she hummed. She looked at one of the seniors whom she's very fond of. "Sugawara-senpai, can you set the ball for me?"
"You sure?" He asked shocked
"What? Not me?" Kageyama asked
"I'm pretty sure I said the right names, Kageyama-kun." She deadpanned and Tsukishima let out a snicker at the comment the girl gave. She looked behind her, seeing the guy. "And you're going to the other team, Tsu-Kki" She said, giving an emphasis on Tsu and Kki.
"I told you to stop calling me that." He frowned
"I know," she chuckled softly, almost a melody to the libero's ears. "Now go on, we need to start playing."
"Alright, let's play!" Tanaka shouts, going to the other side of the court.
She laughs at the energy. She missed this feeling. Before going to her position, she felt a slight tug on her shirt and she looked where the motion came from. Nishinoya was tugging her shirt and pointing at his wrist that's still currently clasped by he hand. She instantly flushed at the thought of holding his hand the entire time so she gently let go of his wrist to avoid harming him as well.
"S-Sorry, I forgot about that." She said and he just smiled at her.
"It's fine, I don't mind." He smiled sweetly at her, she was flustered. Heart beating fast, it was like she just finished running a marathon or being late for a class and she had to attend so she ran up the stairs.
