13 | movie night

Nishinoya was pouting, practically sad over the fact that he hoped that he would get to know [First Name] more over the course of the weekend but things doesn't goes as planned. He was sitting at the dinning room, arms crossed, looking at the girl who was busy preparing snacks and drinks for the visitors in Nishinoya's house.

"You said that we'll watch movies!" Nishinoya whines, tugging the girl's shirt while she make popcorns.

"But we are?" She said, not sparing him a look as she pay attention to the popcorn.

"You said just the two of us!" Nishinoya retorts, pointing at the living room, "Why is the whole team here? Even Tsukishima is here!"

"I never said just the two of us," she laughs, looking at the boy that's currently sitting on the chair as if he's a dog waiting for his owner. "You asked me if it's just the two of us but I never said yes."

"I don't like you anymore." Nishinoya says out loud, and she blinked at his words.

"Oh? So now you like me?" She asked innocently, with a hint of teasing.

"I d-didn't mean it like that!" He shouts, grabbing the attention of his teammates that are currently in the living room while Hinata and Kageyama fights regarding the movie that they're about to watch. The two could not be bothered to stop fighting so the team just looked at the libero and their manager.

"It's nothing, he's overreacting." She told them and they nodded, getting back to their conversation and she looked at Nishinoya's flustered face. She sighed, patting his head, "They were worried about you so I invited them over, we can hang out as a team."

"I just thought that I could get to know you more." Nishinoya sulks like a kid

"Is that why you're being like a kid right now?" She asked but he was silent. "Look, we can get to know each other after this. Tomorrow, the next day after tomorrow, the next next day, even. We have all the time in the world. But what irks is me that why are you suddenly taking interest in me, Nishinoya-kun?"

"I-" Nishinoya lowers his head, "That's something I shouldn't say right now."

"Oh?" She nodded, "Anyway, do you want to do something after the movies? Or do you want to rest up?"

"You're really treating me like a kid." Nishinoya says, "Or a patient!"

"What can I say, maybe I was bound to be a doctor and this is my awakening?" She said before hearing Hinata's loud voice.

"[First Name], Nishinoya-senpai!" Hinata shouts from the living room, which they can hear loud and clear because if one were to add, the living room isn't that far from the kitchen. "C'mon! We're going to start the movie!"

"Tone down your voice, Hinata. We don't want to throw you out in the streets, do we?" The black-haired girl said, annoyed at his high-pitched voice. There were distinct sounds of laughter from the living room but she paid no more attention to it. "I guess what you want to do after watching the movies will have to wait." She said, looking back at Nishinoya.

He nodded and she gathered the popcorn and chips. "Hey, wait for me. I'll just give this to them." She said and when she was about to leave the kitchen, Yamaguchi entered.

"[First Name]-san, I can bring that for you." He softly said and she could swear that there were lights around him after he said that. Sparkles, flowers, you name it.

"Ah! Yamaguchi you're such an angel." She said and the boy was flustered, she let out a soft chuckle, "Please bring these to them, thank you!" She give him a smile as he take the popcorn and chips from her arms.

"I'll go ahead," He bows and left the kitchen.

"What a charming guy."

"I'm still here, you know?" A voice behind her says and she looked back at him, "You're crushing on Yamaguchi."

"Oh no, is someone jealous?" She asked and he frowned, "I'm kidding, such a big baby!" She said, walking towards him and helping him to stand up with his cast.

[First Name]'s eyebrow twitched at the noise made not by the movie, but made by the team. The entirety of the movie was just basically Kageyama and Hinata arguing while Daichi Scolds them for acting immature and acting like a kid. Takishima keeps on saying and asking Yamaguchi why he dragged him there, Tanaka fanboying over Kiyoko, And nishinoya was constantly trying to get the black haired girl's attention by tugging her shirt and playing with her hair.

The girl sighed, she didn't mind it at first but she sure can't wait for the movie to be over. After all, hours seemed to be a lifetime with a team acting like this and she wants to escape this mad place. This movie night was a mess.

"Idiot Hinata, you're like that person in the movie! You're both idiots!" Kageyama says to the carrot-haired boy.

She wanted to make them stop.

"You're much more of an idiot than me, Kageyama! Idiot!" Hinata retorts

The two endlessly fought for the whole half of the movie and nobody having this anymore, she finally clenched her jaw in annoyance and sighed as she spared her glance at the two boys

"Kageyama, Hinata," she called them in a soft voice but her face was filled with proof that she's going to lose her mind soon because of the two. Kageyama and Hinata Soon stopped bickering after the words of the girl due to the chill sent to their spines. They looked at her.

"Y-Yes?" They asked in unison

She gave them a sweet smile, "Cut us some slack and shut your mouths, will you? Or do you want things to get out of hand here?"

The two first years' bodies stiffened at what seemed to be a threat. "S-Sorry!" They both apologized

The four third years looked at her, blinking, before laughing. They never knew she had that kind of side and it was amusing that it only took her a matter of seconds to control the two. Tsukishima let out a satisfied smirk and Nishinoya pouts at how she paid attention to the two.

Nishinoya tugged her shirt once again, "Pay attention to me," Nishinoya whispers to her and she looked at him.

"What do you want?"

"Your attention." Nishinoya said and for the nth time this day, she let out a sigh.

"I'll give you all my attention after the movies, okay? Can you wait for that?" She asked softly and he nodded, still not removing his hand from her shirt.

For an introvert, this day was surely stressing her out. It was draining. Sure, it was a fun to make memories with the team but it's as if her social battery is running out every time a person talks to her. Socializing wasn't her strong suit and it clearly still isn't. She knew that she had to open up sometime after but right now? She just wants to sleep.

She knows that locking herself in her own cage isn't going to help her at all. And for the reason of thinking and having a self reflection, she fell asleep in the midst of the movie.

Sugawara noticed this and decided to stop the movie and it's time for the team to go home. To which, the team agreed to. They knew that she has been taking care of the libero ever since he was injured and it was tiring to take care of a grown man.

Before leaving, everyone made sure to clean up after their mess. The third years cleaned up the living room and the kitchen, the first years assisted Nishinoya to his room, while Tanaka and Kiyoko helped [First Name] fix her position on the couch. They took the blanket and pillows from the guest room so she could have a more comfortable sleep.

With that, the movie night was over.
