During lunch break Lane decided to go to the school's science lab to finish up on his science project. He was making a natural disaster, he needed to create poisonous rain. So he went to go grab some chemicals to create it. He was mixing different types of stable chemicals in a pot, he was trying to hurry before the school bell rings so he was just grabbing different chemicals and accidentally grabbed the wrong chemical and mixed it with the other chemicals. The pot was starting shake, then out of no where it exploded. Lane stumbled to one of the shelf's, the science was starting to fog up with gas. Lane covered his mouth to avoid breathing the gas, but gas was still flowing through his body. The chemicals in the gas was mutating his cells. Lane crawled over to the alarm and hit the alarm. When security came the gas was clearing up, a boy saw the commotion and decided to help the security pull Lane out of the science lab. 3 hours later Lane woke up inside the hospital, he looked over to the side and he saw his neighbor, Mr. Omar sitting in a chair. "You alright, Lane?" Mr. Omar asked as he walked over to Lane, "Yea I'm good. How long I was out?" Lane asked as he was squinting his eyes, "For a good while. I came as soon as your principal called my phone." Mr. Omar explained, "Okay, thank you though.", "No problem young blood, well I gotta go now. I'll be back to pick you up tomorrow." Mr. Omar shook Lane's hand and walked out the room. Lane turned the TV on Nickelodeon and closed his eyes.
