Mike started running. I had a hard time keeping up with him.
"Hurry boy, before the Reapers come." Mike yelled while sprinting. I ran behind him trying to keep up.
"We need to make it to old mamas house." Mike said.
"Is that a joke?" I asked. Mike looked at me like I had stupid written in my forehead.
"No, this is not a time for jokes." After a long time of running we stopped at this old small house.
"Hurry, inside!" Mike said while pushing me. When we walked in there was an old lady sitting in a rocking chair.
"Hello mama." Mike said to her.
"Hello dear,come sit down. Who is your friend?"She asked.
"This is Nicholas. he is the one that set me free he found the locket." Mike replied.
"Ooh, let me see it!" Mama said while standing up. Walked over to me and looked at the locket.
"It's even more beautiful in person." she said.
"Why do you call her old mama?" I asked Mike.
"Because she has been there for everybody. she is the oldest citizen in Meegan anyways. Shes 486 years old."
That made me think how old Mike was.
"Mama, we came here to get food and shelter for the night." Mike said.
"Oh, yes. You never want to outside in the night."
