"Sooooo, how far until we are at your base or whatever?" I asked
"Days."
"Days? I did not sign up for this!"
"Neither did I, but you don't see me complaining do you?" I felt kind of offended after Mike said that. But I got over it in about five minutes. Then about and hour later, we reached a small village.
"What are we doing here?" I asked
"I need to stop at there blacksmith and get some weapons."
"Cool." Mike walked up to this small little shack where a guy was working on a sword.
"What can I do for you sir?" The man asked
"I want to by a sword and a dagger."
"Ok, do you want a sword carer for your sword?"
"Sure."
"48 coins please." Mike gave the guy four golden coins and eight bronze coins.
"Lets get on our way, Nick." Mike said while pulling me gently
"Why?"
"This is a village. People will try to Rob us if we stay to long."
"Oh." Hours went by. The suns started to lower. Mike and I started to make a shelter to keep us safe when we heard a crack in the bushes.
"What was that?" I asked
"I don't know. Probably a ratogon."
"A WHAT!"
"Basically a rat."
"Oh."
"Get in this shelter and try to get to sleep, I will protect you." I crawled into the little hut made out of leaves, sticks, and mud. I felt safe knowing that Mike was with me. I was about to go to asleep when Mike waked me.
"Be as quite as possible, they are here." I slowly grabbed my gun out of my bag. Then a scream came out of the trees. It was a Reaper.
"He is caller for others. We need to move..FAST!" Mike said while pulling me up. We started sprinting away from our little hut. Soon we were in the trees. I was getting lots of scratches from sticks and branches. Mike kept getting faster and faster.
"Mike, wait up!" I yelled, But he did't hear me. I was left alone in the woods with Reapers hiding. I was so scared I started to cry. Then a hand touched my shoulders and another hand covered my mouth so I couldn't scream.
"Shhh, it's just me."Mike said
"Good." I said while breathing in.
"Hurry follow me." Mike led me to a big hole in the ground.
"We should be safe in here for the night." Mike layed down next to me. I hugged his arm and squeezed it tight. He looked at me and smiled then fell asleep.
