Chapter 16: Coronation

It's finally the day, Coronation...

It was a bright day, full of sunlight, confetti in the air with the arrival of Prince Benjamin, their soon to be king, and his concubine, Mal Bertha.

Everyone was so happy, except for Carlos, Evie, Mal, and Jay. After what happened on Family Day, Carlos still has the memory of Chad Charming's head explode and Audrey on her knees crying with blood on her Coral pink dress, and everyone running in fear. Now she's has a cast on her leg and arm, but somehow still rocking her royal pink dress, but now has a stain from someone who spilled fruit punch on her beautiful dress, and we all know how that happened...

People still look at them but mostly blames Mal for it, they really shouldn't underestimate someone who just killed one of their own. Audrey learned that the hard way.

Everyone stands up for the soon to be King, and Mal as his girlfriend who stands near the wand stand eager to grab it but she can do it right now.

Carlos looks down at the crowd and Ben as he walks down the aisle, Evie looks at Jay and he looks at Carlos, but the younger teen avoided his sight.

(I can hardly remember the line, bear with me Okay, it's been a while..)

It has begun, as Fairy Godmother revealed the wand that they've been waiting to take from her grasp and rule Auradon. "Do you solemnly swear, that you will protect and serve for all of Auradon, as King?" She questions him as she holds the wand in her hand, Mal was eyeballing it the whole time, she looks up at her friends as they made I contact with her and the wand.

"I do, solemnly swear.." he answered, "and this is my honor, to make you our-" gasps went across the room, someone got the wand, and it wasn't Mal who has it, it was...Jane?!

She accidentally zapped the barrier on the isle, "if you don't make me pretty I'll do it myself!" She says as the wand went haywire, the Vk's in the balcony ran off to go down there with Mal as she was fighting with Jane over the wand, they were both struggling, Carlos luckily just in time, used his powers and he focused on Jane who was his target and push her down with enough force she almost flew into Adam and Belle, but just fell at their feet and fled from the scene.

"Stay back, Ben," Mal says as she points the wand at him, "Mal..." he said as he was trying to reason with her, "Ben, I said stay back!" She screams, Audrey not learning her lesson, "See, I told you so-" she shut up just in time when Mal pointed the wand at her and Carlos gave her the death stare, "come on, Mal" "come on" "revenge time.." her friends said, she looks back at them and back at Ben.

"Mal, you don't have to do this.." he said as he walks closer to her, "we have no choice! Our parents-!" She tried to explain, but Ben cut her off, "your parents made their choice, now you make yours.."

"I think I want to be good.." Mal said as she slowly puts the wand down, "you are good!" Ben says and shakes his head with a chuckle, "How do you know that?!" She yells, "I've been listening to my heart, you have to do the same, listen to your heart."

Mal puts wand down by her side, Carlos held onto dude and walked up a little bit, "I've been listening to my heart too, and.." he looks at his friends and spoke up, "and my heart tells me we're not our parents, stealing things don't make you happy.." he looks at Jay and Mal, "being on the Tourney team and eating victory pizza, and doing art and being secretly love with a Prince who has a good heart makes you happy.." Jafar's son and the purple one looked at each other as Mal looks at Ben, "and Evie, you do not have to play dumb, just to get a guy, you're so smart and beautiful, you can have anyone you want and be who you are without being a housewife because that's not you."

Evie's makeup started to run as her tears fell down on her blushed cheeks, "and me...I want to go to school, be with my friends; Evie, Mal, Dude, and Ben. And be with Jay," the crowd gasped, as dude drops from his hands "because...Jay really makes me happy...is being a family really makes me happy."
