He was starting to drift off, when he sensed Mikoto moving. At first, he didn't pay attention to it, it wasn't until he heard Mikoto's ragged breathing that he knew something was off.
He quickly opened his eyes and saw how pale Mikoto was, Kami hurried to his side and checked the boy's Forehead to check for his temperature. As soon as his hand had touched the skin of the sweaty boy, he knew a human's body shouldn't be that cold.
He had promised he wouldn't take him to a hospital. Kami was freaking out, he went for the boys leg and took the bandage off. The wound looked worse than it did before, the red swelling was now a blackish colour and there was blood all over it.
Kami was shocked, he knew they should have gone to the hospital and now he was kicking himself for not insisting they did. Panic spread through him; more fear this time around as he felt so helpless. saline solution. He should start by getting all the blood off with saline solution kami thought, although he still wasn't sure what to do and distinctly remembered being shit at first aid lessons in school. He began to dab the cotton bud he had around the wound when he felt the extreme pull. There was a bright light and then complete blackness.

"Don't you think that was weird," Juniper said to Marc as they climbed up the front stairs to her house.
"What was weird?" Marc replied in his distinct ominous yet carefree tone. His girlfriend sighed, he had gotten used to all her little weird traits, this sigh was tried though and he only ever heard it after band practice with June on a particularly boring day. "This whole day, Mikoto's a good swimmer that doesn't just happen, did you even see what happened? it looked like something dragged him underwater, I don't know but I have an odd feeling about this,"Marc thought for a second "Look Juni we don't know what happened today but we should stay rational about it. I'm sure there's some sort of explanation,"
He replied while tilting her chin upwards "Yeah," Juniper smiled as she stood up on her tips toes to give him a kiss.
"Ok I love you, text me when you get home yeah?" June called out as she ran up there front stairs to her house. Marc waited until she had gone in before going back to his car. He couldn't say there was a rational reason as to what happened today at the lake but he couldn't bother June with anymore burdens then she already had.Mikoto woke up with a pounding headache and a sickly feeling in his stomach however he couldn't say that was all nausea. Strangely his leg felt fine but when he looked up from the sofa to see a few things in disiree, the table slightly broken and laying horizontally on the ground, magazines strewn across the floor and a crumpled up body in the corner his stomach fell to the ground.
He hurried off the sofa, a bit too quickly for his own good as he started to feel very dizzy, and made his way quickly over to kami who lay in the same position. "Hey," he said in an almost whisper while he brought kami's on top of his knees. The shorter boys eyes slowly opened but Mikoto still hadn't realised as his head was bowed hiding his face from the eminent worry and fear that was shown on his usual bright face.
" Mi-Mikoto?" came an almost silent voice as Mikoto shot his head up and relief washed over him. "Mikoto!" Kami said again as he attempted to get up and hug the other boy with little help from Mikoto
"Oh my god I didn't know what was going to happen, your fever and then the hospital and the light and the blast and you weren't breathing very well," he broke down into the taller boys arms. "I should be the one worried about you" he cut off Kami, still in the embracement.
"What do you mean?" Kami asked, confused.
"I fell asleep and when I woke up, I found you on the floor and you looked really pale. What was that of 'the light' by the way?"They slowly separated, Mikoto helped Kami sit on the sofa beside him. "Well, I was starting to drift off when you started moving around and breathing ragged. When I went to your side, you had a fever so my first thought was an infection. I took your bandages off and your leg looked worse than it had been before. And I really wanted to call an ambulance, but I promised you I wouldn't take you to the hospital so I was panicking about what to do, so I tried to check the wound again but once I did, I felt as if energy was being sucked from my body and sending it to you, that's when I saw the bright red light and then complete darkness" Kami explained
"First of all, I want to thank you for keeping your promise, even if It seemed like the only rational thing to do. And secondly, I'm better now, whatever it is that you did, it worked. My legs doesn't hurt anymore".
"Forgive me, but I won't believe that until I see it myself. Now extend your leg"
"Yes sir." Mikoto said as he extended his leg.
They both sucked a breath when they realized that there was no injury on his leg other than a red spot.
"How did you do that?" Mikotos said, his voice barley a whisper as he turned to look at Kami
"I don't know" he responded, completley bewildered===================
The next chapter is all about our girl Nellie, but things get weirder, also don't hate Kai he's coming up soon but he's a sweetheart and now (forgive me Mariana) my favourite character seriously he's the best, I really shouldn't be talking so much about him here but I love him, also if you want to see any edits about them, and a few spoilers (Ohalala) you can go to my Instagram @cityofshadowss and look in the highlight 'other' and Mariana's thisisnotourlasthunt
