Knight (Fate Zero-Male Reader)

First Show Down

(Y/N) POV

It's been 2 days since I've been summoned to this world. Currently, we are in Fuyuki City.

Lisa is watching peacefully over the city. In our travels, I've learned Lisa was in an orphanage when she was 12. She never got adopted, and when she was 18 she moved out and got a job. 2 years later and here she is, in the 4th Holy Grail war.

I hear all the spirits have been summoned. In fact, I hear there is 1 more servant then normal. Due to the uncertainty of my class, I'm guessing that extra spirit is myself. But I can only guess

It was nearing night, and I could sense a spirit inviting us to a duel

"Lisa, someone is inviting us," I say looking toward a loading dock for cargo ships

"We wait, no point in fighting an enemy at full strength," Lisa says coldly

"I see, I shall wait," I say disappointed. Lisa is dedicated to winning the war...no matter what she needs to do. I don't agree with facing a hurt enemy. However, I can't disobey her. At first, she seemed curious about my tale. But since then she has been planning for victory

I'm a hero in words only, and those words have died in the centuries since my time. No text has captured my name nor description. The only thing that appears in books is my Sword, Milunder. Even then, they don't describe it's abilities.

As the night draws on, another Spirit shows. They face off in a battle. From my vantage, a mile or so away. Looks like a Saber and a Lancer. Lancer has two spears, and the Saber has wind concealing his weapon

As the showdown continues, The Saber rids himself of his heavy armour, it appears the Lancers lance can pierce it anyway. The fight continues and the Saber is cut. Then as the battle is about to continue, a chariot appears. He declares there are many more spirits watching this duel then participating in it

I look at Lisa, hoping to convince her to let me go without words

"Go," She says as I leap to the battle

"It appears another has arrived," The chariot man says

"Indeed," I say looking at the three spirits.

The Lancer looks like a lady killer, or should I say playboy in this time era. He wields two spars, a long yellow gold one and a short scarlet red one. The Saber certainly wields a sword, however, it's covered in winds and is invisible. His appearance is that of a woman, or perhaps this Saber is a woman. The armour and appearance remind me heavily of the King. The chariot man, he is rather muscular, he wears a red cape atop his red chariot

"Another Knight, this might get interesting," Lancer says smirking

Saber has a confused look, but does not act on it and remains quiet

Soon after I arrive, another spirit arrives. He wears shiny gold armour and boasts to us about Kingship and how everything belongs to him.Then a shadow emerges. He wears a Knights armour, and vibrates intensively, all the signs of a Berserker.

He looks up to Goldy and cuts down the lamp he was standing on. Goldy gets triggered, I think that's the term. And starts assaulting this Berserker. As expected, Berserker is...well berserk and continues raging toward the gold-covered man.

This only rages Goldy more as he is forced to retreat by his master. Berserker's next target, is Saber. He charges, but it's clear Saber can't wield a sword very well at the moment. I watch their hands and notice a thumb not moving.

They are pushed around by the Berserker until Lancer joins in.

The chariot man looks at me and says," are you going to join in as well?"

I think for a bit before Lisa says I should help Saber. She says if we can have Sabers master as a partner, it may be beneficial

I sneak behind berserker before raising my sword above his head.

"Behind you," I mutter as I bring my blade down.

He gets hit and is stunned until I hit him again with a horizontal slash from the side. Since I had a jump on him, he wasn't expecting a thing.

Next is Lancer, I tried slashing him but he was alert of my attack and was able to dodge. Both masters must have known that they can't face two or maybe three spirits if the chariot guy joins in as well. They all disappear leaving me and Saber alone

"Are you to attack as well?" Saber asks

"That is not my masters wish, I aided you as per my master's orders in order to be in good faith," I say as her master approaches us

"Stay back," Saber says to what I'm guessing is her master

"Your master wishes to be in our good faith?" Saber asks for clarification

"Indeed, she beliefs having your master has a partner may be beneficial for both sides," I say as Saber looks at the white-haired women

"I think we should consider it," The woman says. Saber looks at me

"Where is your master," Saber asks

"She is near, but to protect her, I shall not disclose her location," I say sharply

"If we arrange a meeting place, will you and your master show?" The white hair woman asks

"If it is safe, I see no reason to decline," I say. The white women stare at me for a bit before she orders to leave with Saber.

I look at the Chariot guy and wave bye, then I return to Lisa

"This partnership? Do you think it would work," Lisa asks me as I appear

"I see no reason why it wouldn't, the master seems smart, and the Saber may be one to keep their word," I say

"Hmm, he seems to be a Knight like you, right?" Lisa asks

"Indeed, in fact, they bear resemblance to the King," I state

"Say, if he is King Arthur, even more reason to team up," Lisa says

I think for a bit

"Possibly, but that fighting was not of my King, my King is capable of a much higher level," I say

"I noticed the sword was covered, in the battle with Lancer, the wind around the sword was breached. A gold sword shined underneath," Lisa says

"yes, indeed, I noticed too, I couldn't see it clearly. Lancer seemed to have figured it out. However when I arrived no mentions of King Arthur were made. That gold spirit, he spoke of two kings. It's possible he could have been referring to both Rider and Saber. However, many Kings are Swordsmen. It could be anyone," I say

"Yes, you said something about a meeting place?" Lisa asks

"Yes, it's a mansion in the woods I believe," I say giving her the location

"Hmm, k, what time," She asks

"I believe they said noon tomorrow," I say

"Ok, if you think it'll be safe, then let's head out tomorrow," Lisa says

It was late at night, so Lisa went to bed which leaves me with my thoughts

It's very possible that the Saber could be my King. Thinking on it now, it's possible he could be holding back, or better yet is not be able to perform at his top levels due to his mana source. Either way, if it's the King, I may need to question my convictions.
