"Pass the Cheese-Itz." Emma said.

"Only if you hand over the fruit snacks." He replied.

It was a chill Sunday afternoon, a few days after thanksgiving. Tucker had flown over to Maine with his brother to go celebrate thanksgiving over there. Emma was a little disappointed that they wouldn't get to spend the day together, but she understood how important it was for Tucker's mom to have him home for the holidays. He even jokingly offered to string her along, but she politely declined. All her loved ones were here.

Every year she attended the small thanksgiving gathering her grandma had where both her divorced parents would attend. She even had Black Friday plans this year. After having a nice long chat with Olivia they fell in synch and it was as if they had never lost connection. She bought some well needed kitchen appliances on sale for the house, and faced timed Tucker for his input. It was his apartment too after all. They now had an ice blue kitchenaid mixer in the corner of the counter. So far they had made croissants and crap ton of cookies because they were getting into the Christmas spirit.

Tucker came home early Sunday morning because he couldn't stay long in a new environment. It affected his sleep schedule and as much as it hurt him to see his mother upset he promised he'd come visit soon. His amazing roommate offered to pick him up at the airport and was pleasantly surprised when he got home. There was party streamers lazily hanging from the ceiling and balloons littered all over the ground. She even surprised him with a mediocre hallmark Christmas movie and he kindly provided the snacks. Emma was slightly offended that he had a secret snack stash hidden in the house and didn't bother to tell her.

"By the way my mother sends her regards." He said.

Emma raised her eyebrows in shock, "You told her about me."

"Well she knew I was living with a girl, but Jason beat me to it. She wouldn't stop pestering me all night."

She twisted in her seat to get a better look at him, "Why? I don't think it's that weird."

"I think she got the wrong idea." He vaguely said.

"Guys and girls can cohabit without being together." She said.

He snorted and snickered, "Emma cohabit literally means to live together and have a sexual relationship."

"I don't know why she'd be suspicious. She's never even met me." Emma said.

"She saw my new tattoo." He said.

"Oh." She said, absentmindedly touching her wrist, "Now that makes more sense."

"She didn't believe me when I told her the story." He trailed off.

A few weeks ago

" I'm nervous." She said.

"You don't have to go through with it if you don't want to." He said.

Emma had given it a lot of thought and found a tattoo that meant something to her. She's not the type of person that can impulsively decide to get a tattoo with out regretting it later. Before making an appointment she ordered some temporary tattoos to see if she would look good with one. Tucker thought she looked like a bad ass and she couldn't help but agree. However, she didn't completely think it through as she originally thought because sticking a temporary tattoo on your skin  was different than having a needle poking you.

"We're already here. Not to mention all the planning that would go to waste if I chicken out now. If I survived my nose piercing I can do this." She said. Did she mention they were here to get matching tattoos?
