Harry laughed as Hermione pulled him out of her parents car and into her house. "What about my trunk?" He asked.
Hermione took one look at it and her dad before turning back towards the house. "Dad will get it. Now come on!" After being shooed along by the elder Grangers Harry followed Hermione into her house and allowed her to show him around.
His favorite room in the house was Hermione's bedroom.
She stood nervously in the middle of the room as Harry looked around. He gazed at the light blue walls that where mainly hidden by bookshelves or pictures of the countryside. She had a desk underneath her window and her deep purple sheets where neatly spread out on her bed.
There wasn't much to really scream Hermione but at the same time it did scream Hermione. It didn't make much sense but the clean floor and organized desk where very Hermione like, as well as having her own library organized by subject and then author.
"What do you think?"
Harry turned towards Hermione and it occurred to him that she must not have had very many of her peers in her room before and as such was nervous as what he thought about it.
"It's very Hermione-like." He said with an approving nod. He noted with satisfaction that the tension bled from her shoulders.
Hermione made her way over to her bed and plopped down on it, patting the mattress next to her. She rested her head on his shoulder and closed her eyes. "I'm glad your here Harry." He slowly leaned against the wall and closed his eyes, relishing the warm feeling Hermione gave him whenever she held him.
"Me to, Hermione, me to."
The Wolf of Hogwarts
Emma leaned against the counter as she watched Hermione and Harry work on their Alchemy homework.
She still had trouble at times thinking about her daughter as a witch. It just seemed so. . . Hermione. She really couldn't put it any other way. Emma remembered she'd quit drinking coffee thinking she had hallucinated seeing a book floating towards her daughter when she was five.
And now her daughter was working on alchemy homework assigned to her by the Nicholas Flamel with her werewolf best friend.
If someone had told her that this is what her life would turn into a couple years ago, she would have thought that they must have been on drugs.
She was surprised at how well Harry fit with the family dynamic to. Daniel had commented on that a few days ago and she couldn't get his answer out of her head.
Harry set down his fork and clasped his hands, looking at Daniel. "A family is like a wolf pack." He said. "There are different tiers with it. One of you is the Alpha and the other is the Beta, Hermione is the Delta, the third in command. I am but a lowly Omega in this pack. I have to earn my place."
That dinner had passed in silence after that. What where you supposed to say to something like that? To a boy who could pick apart your family dynamic and then compare it to a wolf pack?
There wasn't much she could do except welcome him into her family, lest she wanted to lose her Hermione to the world of Magic.
Emma shook her head as she went back to cleaning the dishes.
The Wolf of Hogwarts
Daniel watched Harry and Hermione read underneath the backyard tree. Hermione was leaning against Harry's side, her chin to her chest. He sighed as Emma walked up behind him and slipped her arms around his waist.
