HARRY:

I took Cami’s arm and led her directly to my room. Glancing over, I could see her bite her lips nervously, as if she was hesitant to be here.

“Look,” I said, holding my hands with the palms out. “I’m only leading you in here because Zayn is currently staying here too, and he has the worst timing in the world.”

She gave a little giggle and looked away shyly. “I remember that.”

“Nothing has to happen, I promise.” Turning around, I gestured to the flat screen television on the wall. “We can watch a movie, or I can make something to eat if you’re hungry. I can even play a song for you.”

I’d always found it sort of cute when she tried to arch her eyebrow. Instead of looking mysterious or suspicious, she always ended up looking extremely surprised and innocent. It was extremely pleasing.

“You’re going to woo me with your guitar skills, Mr. Styles?” she asked with a smile, showing her perfect teeth. Looking around in the room, she took a step towards the bed. “How could I resist?”

I grinned. “Anything for you.” While she sat down on the bed, I walked over to grab my guitar, strumming gently to make sure it was tuned. “Any requests?”

She shrugged. “Whatever you feel like.” Smiling, she leaned back on her hands. “Show me the best you’ve got.”

Nothing came to mind, though. I wanted to play something romantic or advanced, but all I could do was think of children songs. Realizing that she was still waiting for me to start, I sort of panicked.

And then I played ipsy dipsy spider. I could have died of embarrassment right there.

Cami, however, laughed heartedly and sang along. Apparently, she was also affected by the strong sexual tension that was awkwardly filling the air around us. I let out a relieved sigh, putting the guitar aside and walking over to her on the bed.

“We should probably talk,” I said. “About everything that’s happened, I mean.”

“Yeah.” She sat up straight, looking at her fiddling hands. “Yeah, I guess that would be nice.”

I inhaled, steadying myself for this conversation. Opening my mouth, I was trying to spill out all of the past months insecurity, confusion, and heartbreak.

But nothing came out.

“I-I don’t…” I tried, only to panic once again. How could she be so close but yet so far?

“It’s hard, right?” she said with a smile. “I know the feeling.” She snorted. “I’m inclined to just go back to the kissing again since that part seemed easier.”

Chuckling, I took her hand. “Why don’t we do both then? Every time one of us spill a secret, we kiss afterward. The best of both worlds, eh?”

“Did you really just quote Hannah Montana?” She smiled.

Sticking my tongue out, I grinned. “Nobody’s perfect.”

That earned me a full-on laugh. “Okay,” she said. “I’m in. You start, though.”

Rubbing my fingers together, I tried to come up with anything to say. Where would I even start? “I think I fell for you back in Chicago. When I took you to that little café, and you burned yourself on the coffee.”
