Chapter 5

Tw: Assault of a minor

Third Person POV

  Suga and Hinata were some of the first ones at school. Hinata was used to waking up early, and with how Suga was closer to the school, they arrived even before Kageyama.

  After 15 minutes of waiting Hinata whined impatiently. "When are they gonna get here? I want to go see Kenma again! And I want to see our hotel! What do you think it's like, Suga-San?"

  Suga smiled at Hinata's enthusiasm. "Well, I'm pretty sure it's just a normal hotel. Each room has two beds and the team is split into groups of two to room together. That's how it's been done in the past at least."

  Hinata listened to Suga's explanation with wide eyes. "That so cool! I wonder who I'll get! I hope it's not Grumpyama!"

  As soon as Hinata said that, he regretted it. At some point while he was talking Kageyama had managed to get behind him without him noticing.

  "BOKE HINATA BOKE!" Kageyama glared and grabbed Hinata by the hair. "What the hell do you mean by you hope it's not me!?"

  Hinata shivers and looked at Suga, silently begging him to help. "I just- you're always so mean so-"

  Suga noticed his kouhai's distress and stepped in. "Kageyama, let Hinata go. You're just proving his point, that you wouldn't make a good roommate."

  Kageyama clucked his tongue but let go of Hinata. He walked away and sat on a bench waiting for the rest of the team to arrive so they could get on the bus and leave.

Sometime when waiting for the team to arrive, Hinata fell asleep. His head rested on Suga's shoulder and Suga glared and anyone who came near the sleeping crow.

"Suga, we have to get on the bus. You need to wake him up," Daichi called to Suga from a reasonable distance away. Even he was scared of the silver-haired setter.

Suga nodded and shook Hinata softly. "Hinata, wake up. We're boarding the bus now."

Hinata sat up and looked around sleepily before jumping up in excitement. "Woah! They're here! Let's go!" Hinata cheered and ran into the bus, sitting in a seat next to the window.

Suga was the next one on the bus, sitting next to Hinata. The rest of the team slowly made their way on the bus. The second years sat in the back, Tsukishima bad Yamaguchi sat together, Kageyama sat with Daichi, and Kiyoko sat at the front of the bus with Yachi, Takeda, and Coach Ukai. Asahi sat alone in the seat in front of Suga and Hinata.

  The bus ride was normal, with everyone yelling and just very excited about the game. Even Daichi was kind of excited to play against Nekoma again, to show them how much they had all improved.

  About halfway through the drive, the bus started to run low on gas, so they stopped and a gas station.

  "Okay, you guys can go into the store and stretch your legs, use the bathroom, and buy a snack if you want to. But you must be back in 15 minutes," Ukai told the students when the bus stopped. He knew that keeping them in the bus the entire time would end in a disaster, so he decided to let them do that.

  Everyone nodded and left the bus, with the exception of Suga and Daichi, who stayed behind to talk about plans for the game.

  Nishinoya, Hinata, and Tanaka were the first ones into the store. They immediately went to the snack section and started debating on which snacks to get. The other second years stayed outside and walked around, stretching their legs and cooling off.

  Tsukishima and Yamaguchi also went into the store to look for snacks, but avoided any place where the trio of dumbasses were. Asahi and Kageyama went off to do their own things.

  About 10 minutes after getting off the bus, Tsukishima and Yamaguchi ran into Hinata's group in the store and ended up joining them after Hinata almost started crying. (Yamaguchi felt bad and forced Tsukki to stay)

  Finally, the 15 minutes were up. Everyone made their way to the bus, each holding a bag with a drink and a snack in it, courtesy of Nishinoya and Tanaka.

Ukai scanned over the group and counted the students. He was about to dismiss them to go back to the bus when he noticed something.

"Where's Hinata and Kinoshita?" Ukai looked over the group again to check if they were actually missing, which they were.

"They're in the bathroom! In the store we ran into Kinoshita heading to the bathroom and Hinata tagged along because he needed to go as well." Nishinoya was the one to speak up.

Ukai sighed in annoyance. "And no one told me why? Actually, it doesn't matter. Nishinoya and Tanaka go tell them to hurry up or we'll miss the game."

Nishinoya and Tanaka nodded and ran back into the store. The two headed to the bathroom, Tanaka entering first.

"Hinata, Kinoshita-" Tanaka froze and stared at the scene in front of him in shock and anger.

Kinoshita sat on the ground, one hand covering his bloody nose and the other holding his stomach. It was obvious he was in pain.

Tanaka couldn't see Hinata because he was being blocked from view by a middle-aged looking man, but Tanaka could tell he was there.

Tanaka had forgotten about Nishinoya until the shorter boy pushed past him in anger. Nishinoya was about to beat that guy. Tanaka managed to grab Nishinoya and drag him back before he could do anything.

Tanaka dragged him out of the bathroom and faced him. "Go get the others. You can't take him alone, you saw how Kinoshita looked."

Nishinoya looked to the side and nodded. He wasn't happy about it, but what Tanaka had said made sense. Nishinoya ran out of the store and notified the team of the situation as quickly as he could.

Everyone immediately dropped what they were doing and followed Nishinoya.

When they got back Tanaka was waiting outside the door. He was waiting for the team so he could burst in, and as soon as they were there he burst in.

"Hinata! Kinoshita! We-" Tanaka stopped and rubbed his eyes in confusion. In the corner of the room, the guy sat. He was unconscious but he didn't seem to have any outward injuries.

But what really confused Tanaka was Hinata. It looked like he had wings and a white glow around him. He was sitting in front of Kinoshita with a worried expression. The rest of the team was also confused. Well, other than Kageyama, and that's because he had already seen Hinata like that.

At the sound of Tanaka's voice Hinata looked up at the team. His face went from a confused one to one of complete panic.

Kageyama was the first to speak. "Hinata. YOU LIED TO ME DUMBASS!" Kageyama glared at Hinata. He was quite angry that Hinata had lied to him and almost gotten away with it.

"W-Wait! I can explain!"

I had an idea and I only had a few hours to write it
