Chapter 1: saviour: part 9

Hinata's POV:

I can't get Kageyama out of my head like usual but this time it was slightly different, I don't mind it, I like it actually just thinking about him makes my heart feel warm and fuzzy. I feel like I have a chance, I can see a future with Kageyama one filled with laughter, it may be a silly little dream but I love imagining it.

I can't get too greedy though, I will cherish that hug we shared and accept that it was nothing more than a friendly hug. That's how it will have to be.

I try to go to sleep but I feel an aching pain all over, I probably did too much at practice. It's around 2am and I go downstairs to get some painkillers because the pain had gotten worse. After the painkillers had kicked in I finally felt myself nodding off at around 2:30am.

Kageyama's POV:

I wake up in the middle of the night to an odd burning and stinging sensation on my right wrist, I shifted my position so I wasn't lying on it but the pain didn't stop. I switch on my light to look at it. I stare at it as a pastel yellow begins to form around my right wrist, the pain starts to ease as the yellow becomes more apparent. I can't stop smiling, I finally have a soulmate, when will I meet them? Or have I met them already. I get so excited and giddy that I struggle to fall back to sleep although it does happen eventually . The next thing I knew it was morning and my alarm is blaring in my ears, it irritates me but I look down onto my wrist to make sure it wasn't a dream and sure enough the mark is there, a beautiful pastel yellow with the initials H.S engraved in black.

The first thing I hear when walking through the school gates is Hinata shouting and running past me, I quickly react and start chasing after Hinata while shouting a bunch of insults at him to which Hinata just laughs and carries on running. Once we get to the club room we both try to get our breath back. Hinata smiles but as he looks at me it drops and a shocked expression dawns on his face.

"Hinata are you okay?" I ask in a gentle voice but he doesn't reply.
