10: 𝗕𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲

~JARETH~

I failed her once again.
She believed that she was stupid and I had let her go.

That's what Jareth kept telling himself, that's what he's been telling himself for the past month.

He commanded every being in his entire kingdom to search for Sedina, but she was no where to be found.
He isolated himself in his bedroom the entire time, sobbing.

He knew she was distraught, he knew she was depressed inside without him and he didn't do anything.
As far as he was concerned, he was a failure to her.

Just like he was a failure to Sarah.

~SEDINA~

"God how I miss him."

"I thought he would have found me by now, I'm only a few forrests ahead of the Labyrinth." Sedina stated to Nifty.

"Lady Sedina, why did you leave King Jareth?" Heading his name made tears prickle at Sedina's eyes.

"I-..."
"He doesn't deserve me. I was stupid and told him I loved him."

"How is that bad Lady Sedina?" Nifty asked softly, careful not to make her cry.

"I've never said that to anyone before. M-my worst fear is falling in Love with someone and one of us get hurt. I refuse to hurt Jareth. I- I wish I was dead."

"L-lady Sedina! You don't mean that"
"I do, Nifty, I really ,honestly do. I wish I could just die here and now. No one would miss me."

Tears started to run down Niftys face, he wrapped his small arms around Sedina's neck, hugging her softly.

That was all she needed.

She stood, Nifty in her arms, and kept moving along.

"Listen, You head back to the abandoned cottage. I'm going to walk around. I'll be back by nightfall." And with that, Sedina placed him on the ground and walked quickly ahead, straight towards the waterfall that was rippling between boulders in the distance.

"This, is fucking amazing though." Sedina spoke to herself as she sat on one of the boulders, looking over the water.
