I wake up, tied up to a metal beam that seemed to be about fifty feet in the air. My entire body was bruised by the beatings and my head is throbbing insanely. I only realized I was strung up in the arena only a couple minutes before the games actually started. My entire face is almost painted with my own dry blood, and I try to ease the pain in my ribs by putting my mind on something else. I shouldn't have tried to escape. I mean, what the hell was I thinking... I can't escape the capitol, no one can. I should've just went for my chances in the games, and kill my way through, like the past district two victors. Now, I can't make that choice or even kill. I'm chained onto this thin beam, on the verge of a slow death of starvation. Even if I do break free of the chains, I'll fall to my death. A couple of hours later, the few tributes that were alive were sent into the arena. I was clearly visible to the rest of the tributes, so it wouldn't be long until someone comes.

Then I heard clanging... Someone was climbing up the beam. For once in my life, I felt relieved. The person who climbed up was a small girl, maybe around fifteen years of age. She has long, golden hair along with large, brown eyes filled with exhaustion. The girl had a sharp, silver ax in her hand.

The girl just blinks at me, and eventually, I beg something to her, "Please kill me." My voice is raspy from lack of water and the burning heat.

All I can think of right now is what Sejanus might be thinking while watching this. I shouldn't have treated one of the only people who reminded me of home like that, one of the only people who tried to care for me. He's been on my mind recently, even though I don't show it at all. Then the blonde girl broke my sudden mental rant, by responding.

"I'm sorry... I'm sorry this happened to you." She shut her eyes and brought down the ax straight into the back of my neck, along with another strike, and another. The chains were broken by the ax, and finally, I'm free.
