"RUN!" I screamed in fear of Mizzen. After the boy with the glasses collapsed on the ground, I knew for a fact that these disgusting snakes are not okay.
We were on the ground level of the amphitheater, trying to hunt the other tributes, so we were vulnerable. I knew that if the snakes attacked Mizzen, he would be done for, he's already injured, but maybe if I take a couple of those snakes on, I can survive it. When my partner was reaped, I felt like I had a duty to protect him. Mizzen is only 13 years old, so I always felt like somewhat of an older sister towards him.

I don't look back at Mizzen, but I look at the challenge in front of me.
Good Luck Coral, I thought to myself as I took my long, silver trident, with bloodstains on it. The snakes jump at me shockingly, I didn't know they could move like that, but it-it's fine. The first snake flew away as I slash at it, but they kept coming at me one after the other.
A scream releases from my mouth as a snake slithers it's way to my ankle, and bit into it. I try to shake it off, but my newfound wound prevents me from getting to the stands. My body drops onto the hard ground right after more snakes swarmed around my body. I take every ounce of energy in my body to look at Mizzen in safety. I can sense a pained expression in his face as he looked back at me. As peaceful as I try to make this sound, it's nothing like that. Every time the snake bites me, an agonizing sensation sends venom throughout my body. My stomach swirls like a tornado, and I spit out vibrant pus, the same pus that dripped down from my wounds. I let out my last painful shriek.
