"Promise me you won't do anything stupid. I paid for this trusting that you're responsible. I don't want to see you come home married to a stranger that you meet in the middle of a nightclub" my grandad says as we sit outside of the airport. My grandparents have paid for me and my best friend to fly to Las Vegas as part of my 26th birthday celebrations.

"Grandad I promise you can trust me. I'm the good grandchild remember" I say smirking knowing that I can pretty much get away with anything where my grandparents are concerned. My cousins would say I'm the favourite.

"I know otherwise Rachel Catherine" my grandad says laughing. Seeing my best friend Lizzie pull up at the airport I wave at her from the car.

"Thank you so so so much for this grandad. I'll make sure I take loads of photos for you. You've got no idea how much I appreciate this" I say leaning over to kiss my grandad's cheek before getting out of the car. "Hey girl!" We must be the most annoying people at the airport right now but I'm just so excited.

"You literally have the best grandparents in the world!" Lizzie practically screams at me. Not saying anything I just smirk as I head towards the first class check in area.

"No way! You have got to be joking! They have not paid for first class" Lizzie says as she realises where we're going.

"They have! Perks of being a Ferguson honey" I say. I hate using my name to get me places but Sir Alex Ferguson is my grandad and if he wants to pay for first class I'm not going to argue with him.

"Erin and Layla won't believe this! Shame they're too loved up to come with us"

"Their loss not ours but we're going to have the best five days ever! Cringey but what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. Who knows we might finally find you a man when we're out there" I say, Lizzie's been single for a while and after a string of failed tinder dates I'm determined to find her a man.

"Rach I don't need a man"

"You might not need one but you want one. There's a difference" I say as we make our way to the first class lounge to wait for our flight "Champagne?" I ask. It might be 6am but rules don't apply when you're in the airport.

"You know me too well" Lizzie says as I pass her a glass of Moët "Cheers to Vegas"

"Cheers" I say clinking my glass with Lizzie's.

A long flight later, we touch down at McCarran airport. I can't wait to get to our hotel to see where this holiday takes us. Arriving at the Bellagio even I'm surprised to find out that my grandparents have booked a penthouse suite for our stay. I never would've asked them to book something like this, a normal room would be fine with me however I'm so grateful.

"I know this suite is amazing but we need to get out there and explore!" Lizzie says spinning around to look at me "What have we got planned so far?"

"We've got tonight just to have a look around Fremont Street and get our bearings then tomorrow we're booked at Hakkasan for Calvin Harris, Friday is Tiësto at Omnia and Saturday it's David Guetta at Encore" I say. We've had months to plan for this and in my head we've planned everything.

"Then it's just deciding what beach clubs we're doing each day?" Lizzie asks knowing I'm meticulous when it comes to things like this.

"Yeah we've got Marquee Dayclub, Wet Republic, Drai's, Tao and Venus. Take your pick because we still have to fit in shopping at some point" obviously it's a girls trip so we need a big blow out in the Vegas shops.

"I love coming on holiday with you. Right lets get changed and head out. Vegas is waiting for us" quickly showering and redoing my make up I pull on high waisted cycling shorts with a bralet and fresh white trainers. I've got five days to tan and I'm going to make the most of it.
