"Oh my god! Jesse Lingard how did you get yourself a girl this gorgeous never mind get her to agree to marrying you! I'm Lucia by the way" as the brunette introduces herself I'm taken aback by how forward she is.

"Okay calm down Lu. I know you're excited Jesse has finally met someone but give the girl a chance to breathe" Marcus says trying to calm his girlfriend down "I'm Marcus it's nice to meet you"

"Rachel" I say as we sit down. I'm so nervous I don't want to speak in case I mess up. Looking over at Jesse I'm silently praying to every god possible that he takes the lead on this tonight.

"Well if it was up to be I'd be keeping her to myself for a while longer" Jesse says looking at Lucia. From what I've seen so far I'd say the two of them are good friends as well not just Jesse and Marcus.

"Look at you in your newlywed bubble! You make such an attractive couple as well! I'm happy for you though Jess, it's nice to see you happy and no more third wheel for you now we know the truth"

"That's the only reason he's found a girl isn't it!" Marcus says with a laugh.

"If you must know I was always okay being the third wheel" Jesse says as we all start looking at the menu. Under normal circumstances I'd probably be having more fun but I can't help wonder what two of Jesse's closest friends would think of me if they knew the truth. As we make our way through dinner things start to feel less awkward, Lucia is actually really nice and I can tell she's genuinely happy that Jesse has found someone.

"So Rachel, Jesse was telling me you work for the club" Marcus says and I wondered how long it would take for this to be brought up.

"Yeah I work in sponsorship deals" I say not really wanting to go into my connection with the club.

"It would've stayed quiet if your dad didn't barge into training. I don't think anyone could quite believe it was the first time I managed to piss off a Ferguson" Jesse says and I can see he's still wary around me.

"You sure? I'd probably say I'd be the first one on that list" I say trying to keep up the act.

"That goes without saying Rach. Your dad coming at me was another level" I agree with Jesse, having grown up with my dad I know exactly how he can be when he gets riled up. Anything to do with me and he becomes a raging lunatic.

After we eat dinner Jesse and I make our way home, it's surprising how quickly I've started to call his house my home too. As we drive through Altrincham I stare out of the window, I don't say a lot. What can I say? My life has completely changed in an unprecedented amount of time.

"You're quiet. Did one of us say something wrong tonight?" Jesse asks looking over at me.

"No, no one did anything wrong. I'm just thinking. I'm going back to my place tomorrow" I say telling Jesse what's on my mind.

"Why?" After things have gone as well as they can, I hear the confusion in Jesse's voice.

"I need to tell my friends. Too many people are starting to find out. Lizzie obviously already knows but I need to tell Erin and Layla. I'd hate to think they found out from some kind of gossip page" I say thinking of my best friends. I couldn't have kept a bigger secret from them if I tired.

"You can bring them over, I don't mind" Jesse says not arguing with my need to tell people.

"I might eventually but I think the first time Erin and Layla hear any of this I need to be away from your place so I can explain everything to them properly. Lizzie doesn't even know the full story yet, as far as she knows we're getting divorced" being busy at work I've managed to avoid meeting up with my friends as much as I normally would but now it's time for them to know the truth.
