James was fully aware that a party was being planned out in order to welcome both Critty and Gracie into the family. But right now, he had more urgent matters to take care of.
He had dug out his old time machine and he was working on improving it since the stone of memories had given him ideas of how to make it more capable. It was easier to work on his machine, rather than his stone since you can't change a magical stone.
Gracie was sleeping on James's bed and she was all curled up, with her tail wrapped around her body which was really cute in James's eyes as he continued working. James had gotten the chance to know Gracie and he immediately realized that while the two quillcats shared a majority of their personalities with each other, they still had traits that were different from each other.
For instance, James knew that Critty wasn't very trusting of the other fairy animals yet such as Amarok and Squonk. Critty always moved away from them and resumed cleaning herself with her cute little tongue just like a regular cat.
Gracie was like Critty when she first met Amarok and Squonk but she didn't move away from them, she tolerated the two fairy animals' presence even though she also ignored them and resumed her cleaning as well.
"And there.........it's done!" said James as he held his time machine.
Hearing James's voice, Gracie woke up and moved her ears while stretching. Meowing and moving towards James, he smiled when he saw his cute fairy animal moving towards him. James couldn't resist, he placed his time machine aside and picked up Gracie.
"Hello there, did you have a nice nap?" asked James as he rubbed Gracie's head.
Purring and lying on James's lap, Gracie closed her eyes and swung her tail. James couldn't help but very gently touch his quillcat's tail, it had quills but they were so soft and fluffy right now, just like the rest of the fur on Gracie's body.
"You know Gracie, there's one thing that separates you from your sister. You didn't go down to the party preparation below in the event room with Critty" said James.
As a response, Gracie made cat sounds while moving on James's lap and showing her belly to him. James just giggled and started rubbing his quillcat's belly and it made her purr louder.
"Anyways, remember what I said earlier today? Time for you to see Orlando again" said James.
This made Gracie turn herself around and she was soon standing on James's legs and looking at James with her head turned to the side.
"Oh didn't I tell you? I'm bringing him and his cohorts here into our timeline. I see it........he's just like Matt. Willing to give himself up for others, putting the well beings of others ahead of his own, he finds peace in everything and he has a sense for adventure. In fact, this will also be good training for Matt. It's time for my former apprentice to become the master" said James.
Meowing cutely and getting off of James, the quillcat watched as her bonded fairy strapped the time machine onto himself and activated it.
"I'll be quick, wait for me" said James with a smile before he vanished.
A few minutes later, James reappeared in the room with Orlando and his company. Also with the group was Orlando's mother, his only family left.
When Gracie saw Orlando, she immediately ran towards him while meowing happily and started rubbing her head and body against's Orlando's legs. Orlando may not be a fairy or have magic but his bond with the two quillcats was just as strong and as loving as the bonds forged with fairies.
The winx soon came in and greeted Orlando and the rest of his company. They had been made aware of James's plan and they agreed to go through with it. James soon had Gracie follow the Winx down to the event room while he brought Orlando and the others to Domino.
