🚨Chapter 7 🚨

Xuri and I had finished cleaning up the kitchen after dinner. The boys had left after they ate and tonight Tae's mom was supposed to be coming home, so I put her up a plate. I made us fried shrimp, macaroni, and patatoes. My mom would make this for me all the time when I was little. I loved it soooo much she put the recipe in a journal for me.

"mommy can we have the shrimp and mac and cheese today?" I begged my mom as she began walking to the kitchen

"Sure anything for my princess." She said as she sat me on the counter so I could watch her make it

She has bruises on her arms and a cut on her neck. Daddy did them he beat her again. Why does he do this? My mommy is so nice she never is mean, but daddy is always mean.

"Mommy is daddy coming home tonight?" I asked with fear in my voice

"Probably..." she said and I can tell that made her sad

"When he comes home I'm gonna beat his tail." I told her making her laugh

"My strong princess but make sure if he comes you you go to your room and lock the door like I told you okay?" She said looked up at me brushing her thumb over my chubby cheeks

"Yes mommy." I said sad because I know daddy is going to hurt mommy when her get's home like he does everyday...

Now I had finished the dishes and put Ms. Taylor's plate in the microwave I began walking into Tae's room. When I walked in Xuri was sleeping on his chest and he was watching basketball on the TV.

I sat down on the bed looking through my backpack making sure I had all my assignments done which I did. So I looked over and Tae was drifting off to sleep he looked to peaceful. He needs to sleep more often maybe he would raise less hell. I picked up Xuri from off of him and began carrying her to her room.

"I know you did not just snatch her away like that." Tae said in a low tired voice

"Go back to sleep in taking her to her room." I told him

"You do so much here I appreciate that shit for real." He said before closing his eyes again

I don't know why but that gave me butterflies. I tried to brush it off but if I was any lighter I would be blushing hard as fuck . I reached Xuri's room and I placed her in her bed and her eyes slowly opened

"Shit." I said under my breath

"Dessy where you going?" She asked my rubbing her little eyes

"I'm going back to Tae's room to go night night." I told her turning on her night light

"Ok night night." She said closing her eyes as I turned out her lights And covered her up

"Night night Nae." I said as I closed the door

After leaving her room I went to the bathroom changed my bandage and put Vaseline on it. I brushed my teeth and washed my face and went back to Tae's room to go to sleep.

Tae woke me up at like 7:45 saying his mom was home. I slowly got up and I went to the living room where she was sitting.

"DESTINYYY!" Ms. Taylor said to me as she ran towards me and hugged me I almost fell over

"I missed you too." I said laughing

"Ugh I'm so happy to have you here I've been wanting this for years I'm so happy you came around." She said smiling from ear to ear making me look at Tae and he just laughed
