Lena's POV
As I headed into the familiar alien bar I spot Kara and the others in a far away booth. She spots me and waves, standing up to let me get into the booth.
I sit down and greet a very exited looking Alex and Maggie. I look at them questioningly as Kara returns with the drinks.
She sits down next to me and hand me a glass of my favourite wine.
"So, what's the big news?" She cutely questions to the couple.
The couple glance at eachover, smiling before each revealing an engagement ring on their finger.
"AHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAH" Kara screams, catching the attention of everyone in the bar. I laugh at her enthusiasm.
"I can't believe you two are getting married!!!!"
She shouts again.Alex shushes Kara. "Me neither"
Kara went to retrieve more drinks, and as she returns Alex gives her a funny look.
"Kara?" she says "Do you not remember the last time you drank that?"
She brushes Alex of and gulps it down, moments later the heat rushes to her cheeks, she burst out into hysterical laughter.
I don't think i've ever seen Kara this drunk, I mean, whenever we had drunk before she never really seemed like she was properly drunk, but now she was entirely different.
After multiple rounds, Alex finally stops Kara.
"I think you've had enough" She says grabbing Kara's drink and holding it away from her.
"Noooooo" She whines, presenting her famous puppy dog eyes. These didn't work on Alex however, and she continued holding the drink away from her.
"Excuse me" She says before stumbling away from the booth, she runs straight to the bathroom to throw up.
I laugh as she stumbles into the door, wobbling all over the place desperately trying to get to her destination.
"Hey" Maggie says. She points to someone sitting across the bar. "He's cute" She raises and eyebrow at me and I just ignore her comment.
"You should go chat him up" She jokes, and i just stare back at her, raising an eyebrow at her sarcastically.
"Chat who up?" Kara questions as she returns to the booth. Alex gestures over to the man and she smiles at me.
"No" I say, trying to look as serious as possible knowing what she was about to do.
She giggles before walking straight towards him.
"Kara stop no!" I plead as a I run behind her, desperately trying to pull her back.
When I fail, I abort my mission and run straight back to the booth, sliding down to avoid their view.
When she reaches the man I hear her say
"Hey, my friend over there thinks your cute" I cringe hard as she says this. Maggie and Alex just laugh at me."Which friend?" I hear him question.
"Well she's hiding behind the booth at the moment. Come over, come sit with us" She offers.
My eyes go wide and I give a pleading look to Alex. Practically begging her to go over there and retrieve Kara.
She laughs at me before standing up, and I watch as she retrieves her sister, dragging her back to the booth, leaving the man confused.
Kara plops back down in the booth laughing at me knowingly at what she'd just done.
"You are so dead" I tease. Repressing a smile.
After a couple more hours, we all decided to leave. Alex leaving with Maggie.
I glance over at the drunk Kara, and decide it was my turn to ensure she gets home safe.
I hail a taxi, and climb into the back with Kara. Instructing the driver to Kara's loft.
When we arrive, she stumbles onto the elevator and fumbles around with the buttons, trying to select the correct one.
When we finally entered her apartment, she passes out on the couch. God I had never seen anyone as dramatic as her.
I scoop her up and carry her to her bed, struggling a little with the weight. As I reach my destination I put her down, taking of her shoes and glasses.
As I took of her glasses, I noticed how familiar she looked. I felt as if I knew someone else who looked exactly like that.
But, I was too drunk to think about that so I just threw the blanket over her, plugging her phone on charge so that everything was ready for her when she woke up in the morning.
As I go to turn of the light, Kara begins to stir. She sits up and stares at me, groaning as she holds her head in pain.
"What time is it?" She questions.
"A little over 1pm. I'm just about to head home"
"What happened" She groaned.
"You blacked out, so I took you to bed. Do you want a glass of water or something?"
"That would be nice"
I enter the familiar kitchen, opening a cupboard and pulling out a glass. I fill it with water and return to the room, handing it to her.
I sit on the edge of her bed and watch her as she takes small sips.
"Your going to have a killer hangover in the morning" I joke. "What on earth were you drinking?"
"I don't even remember" She says as she finishes her water, placing the cup down on her bedside table.
"I best get going, i've got work tomorrow" I say as I stand up to leave.
"Boooo!" She shouts. "Why do you even work there"
"Because I own the company?" I laugh.
"Just don't go in tomorrow. We can have a snow day" She suggests.
"You want to ditch work again? after almost loosing your job from ditching?" I joke.
"I'm serious, let's just go out, do something... I don't know"
"As fun as that sounds, I have a company to run"
"Come on, just think about it" She says, staring at me with her puppy dog eyes.
"Maybe" I say, before turning out the lights and waving Kara goodbye.
As I close the door I hear.
"Wait Lena"
I sigh, reopening the door.
"Just crash here. You can stay on the couch. It's already late enough" She stands up, opening her cupboard and pulling out a blanket. She then pulls out spare clothes and hands them to me.
