Chapter 15

CHAPTER 15: Three weeks later

Xavier's POV

It has been three weeks since I finally accepted my feelings for Scarlet. An ex-convict found love in a rich girl. That's a story to tell my kids. I was showering after a long day of work and keeping her company. Partly cause it's my job and other reasons. I turned off the shower and walked out of the bathroom with the towel wrapped around my waist.

I put on a light shirt and sweat shorts and sandals. I walked to the living room and turned on the screen looking for anything interesting to watch.

"Hey babe," Scarlet came and sat next to me on the couch wearing the shirt I had given her.

I made room for her and she lay down laying her head on my lap looking up at me. This is one of those rare times when we were the only ones in the house. She began drawing circles on my chest. Shyly she looked any where but me.

She sat up and sat on my lap cradling my face between her hands. My hands landed on her thigh where the shirt had ridden up.

"I want you to be my first."

She said in one breath and I chuckled making her look at me. "What is funny?"

She asked pouting she looked cute. I put a strand of hair behind her ear and leaned in kissing her lightly before pulling back.

"What do you want princess?"

"I want you to...."

She said shyly as I kissed her again. Moving sideways and began planting soft kisses along her neck and I could hear her breath getting rough. I loved the effect I had on her.

"What do you need princess?" I said softly kissing her neck.

"I need you to...."

She paused as I began trailing my hand on her thigh and she tightened her legs that were on either side of me. I was continuing to kiss her when she cupped my head making her look at her.

"I want you to take it. I want you take my virginity," she said looking away flushing.

I gently made her look at me and I looked into her eyes. I love her but I'm not perfect for her. I'm broken.

"Are you sure you want this?"

"Yes and I can tell that you want to too." she said confidently.

"How's that princess?" I smirked

"You're hard against my core."

Her hands trailed down my waist onto the waistband of my shorts. "And I want you to put it in me."

She kissed me and I kissed her back as I wanted to feel every part of her. The one who decided to accept a broken me. I moved my hands under her shirt and felt her warm skin against mine. I moved from her lips to kiss the crook of her neck when we heard keys jiggling in the lock.

"Who could that be?" she looked scared.

I stood up slowly putting her on the couch. I walked over to the door and waited with my gun. When the door opened, the figure smiled.

"Good to see you're alert son," the General said walking in.

I stood up from my crouch position.

"Welcome back sir," I said helping him with his bag as he entered the house. Hope he doesn't see Scarlet yet.

"So where's my daughter?"

He asked as I closed the door. "Uhh..."

Before I could answer, Scarlet came down the stairs in her pjs. "Daddy... "

She ran down the stairs and jumped to give him an embrace. She gave me a wink smiling. She never seems to amaze me. He took a deep breath hugging his daughter.

"How has my little flower been doing?"

"Great. By the way how was your mission?"

He walked to the sofa and sat sighing "Well... I can say it's almost done. In a couple of weeks, you won't need a bodyguard just like you wanted."

I felt my heart sink and Scarlet sat next to him probably fake smiling.

"That's great daddy."

Even though I knew she was faking it slightly.

"I should go and rest. Have a good night sir," I said beginning to walk to my room.

"Uhm... Xavier tomorrow we have a new housemaid. I need you to introduce her to Maria. Is that okay with you?"

"No problem sir. I'll take my leave."

I gave him a subtle bow and gave Scarlet a small smile before walking into my room. I took off my shirt and fell into a dreamless sleep.

I woke up a few hours later and the information of last night sunk in. Maybe it was time to talk to Scarlet. We have to figure out our next step. I put on my tie and gave myself another look in the mirror.

"Here goes nothing."

I said to no one in particular and walked out of my room. I gave Maria the usual morning hug and told her about the new help coming. Scarlet came down the stairs and gave me a smile which I returned. Her father came down later on and they sat down to have breakfast.

"Xavier what are your plans for today?"

"I just have to drop Scarlet at school then-"

"Cancel that now that I'm around. Today I'll drive her to school. Just make sure that the new maid gets comfortable."

"Yes sir."

Who is this new maid anyway off day for me I guess. The doorbell rang and the general wiped his mouth with a napkin.

"Guess she's here early. Maria please get the door."

"Yes sir."

Maria went to the door and opened it before coming back.

"Sir the new help is here."

"Send her in."

"Okay sir"

She beckoned the person and we heard the rolling of tyres and froze when the person came into view. Scarlet froze and so did I as I studied the features of the new 'help.' She smiled sweetly as our eyes met.

"This is going to be our new help, Vanessa. Hope you make her feel comfortable."

She extended her hand and infront of the General it looked wrong to refuse so I took it.

"Welcome."

"Nice to meet you. I'm Vanessa."
