AN: An update! Enjoy

Kongpob Suthiluck looked at his husband Arthit Rojnapat holding their little baby Wayo in his arms and his rage once again surfaced with double the vigor. Their son 7-and-1/2 year old Wayo had been suffering from high-fever ever since they left the temple yesterday. The visit to the temple, that was supposed to be a spiritual family outing, had turned into a disaster. Kongpob was pacing up and down the clinic, which had been recommended by the hotel staff where they were staying.
It was a bizarre thing that happened though. Kongpob had seen a teenager near Wayo who was bawling his eyes out. The fact that the young man had looked horrified and ran away instantly didn't help matters. Kongpob had tried to confront the friend who was calling out for the young man but that didn't lead to any concrete answers and then the friend ran away too. Arthit had gathered Wayo in his arms, trying to calm him down and soothe him and they had rushed to their car and back to the hotel. In the privacy of their room, the parents had asked their baby what had happened and that is when they had realized: Wayo's soulmate mark had activated. The mark was jet black and the area was red and swollen as if it had burned. There Wayo had met his soulmate. This should have been a joyous occasion then why did the feel dread? Why were Kongpob and Arthit, soulmates themselves, feeing this strange fear, like something was amiss?
Kongpob couldn't help but think of the young man who was at the temple. He was tall and his body looked fit. His outfit and neatness indicated that he came from a well-to-do family. He was probably in his late teens. Kongpob couldn't understand how a boy that old could be his son's soulmate. That is just not normal. Had they missed anything? Was there another person there, maybe closer to Wayo's age who had panicked and fled the scene? The young man's sibling or something? Maybe the teenager had run away just to follow someone. All these thoughts were swirling in his mind but somewhere in his heart he knew the latest thought were more wishful thinking, than anything else.
"Kong, calm down, please. This pacing is giving me a headache," Arthit said as he held his husband's shoulder. He had just settled Wayo down on the plush chair as the boy had dozed off. The doctor had ordered a blood test for their son and so they were waiting on the results. Arthit just sighed and guided the tanned man to a chair. The two sat down beside each other and Arthit took Kongpob's hand in his massaging it gently.
"Did you see her? Yo's soulmate?" Arthit asked softly even as Kongpob shook his head.
"Do you know if it's a girl or a boy? Is it a boy like what Yo's been saying?" The other man just closed his eyes and shook his head again. Kongpob knew in his heart he had seen Wayo's mate but until they were certain, there was no point in worrying Arthit.
Arthit couldn't help himself. He wanted to talk yesterday at the hotel itself, but they both were busy taking care of Wayo. It was not normal to have such high fever after the soulmate mark was activated. Yes the area where the mark was is red and sore, like a real tattoo, but it healed completely in a couple of days. So what was it that was making Wayo have such a violent reaction?
The man with milky-white skin and a cute dimple, tapped his husband's hand, "What happened Kong? Why did they run away like that? Were they alone? I know you are hiding something from me...please, ja..." Arthit's voice raised slightly now and the patients waiting gave him a weird look.
Kongpob shook his head and whispered fiercely, "I don't know anything Arthit, please! Stop it! Our first priority is Yo's health, okay!" Arthit startled at Kongpob's outburst shut up immediately. He knew his nong was just worried and also something was eating him from within. A few minutes later they were called in by the doctor, a smartly dressed woman in her thirties with a charming smile, Dr. Yiwha Wongsawat.
They were now seated in a cabin as the doctor skimmed through Yo's reports. The boy was awake now but was still clinging onto his papa. The woman sighed, "There doesn't seem to be any infection at all. I don't understand what could have caused the fever..."
"Dr. Wong.."
The woman smiled gently at Arthit, "Call me Yiwha, that's fine."
The man nodded gratefully, "Dr.Yiwha, we are here for the vacations, maybe it s something he ate or the climate..."
It was Wayo who sat up and interrupted the pale-skinned man, "Papa, I told you already, I need to meet that boy."
Kongpob gasped and stiffened. He snorted a chuckle, "He's being...it's nothing.."
Yiwha looked at the couple sharply, "Looks like you are not telling me everything. If you hide things from me I can't help your son."
Kongpob's shoulders slumped even as Arthit sighed and spoke, "Wayo's soulmate mark activated yesterday, but we have no idea who it is. They just fled the scene and Wayo was alone there. When we got there, they had already long gone."
"You guys are soulmates right? You know how it works. They might have panicked, not understanding what was happening. All you need to do is go the place again. You know how soulmates find their way to each other. It's not that difficult. It is entirely possible that Wayo is sick because the soulmates did not establish the bond. It is not healthy to prolong thins or leave it like this. Can I see the mark?"
Kongpob nodded as Wayo stood up and turned around. Yiwha examined and mark for a few long seconds and then sighed. "Mr. Suthiluck, I hope you understand that the mark is already jet black at the first meeting. You know there is no going back now. It's not a 'maybe' bond, it's certain."
Kongpob nodded slightly as Arthit nodded. He addressed his husband, "Kong, I don't understand, what is your worry? If this boy is Yo's soulmate, then that's done..."
Rubbing his face tiredly, the tanned man said, "You don't understand. I think...I think... Oh doctor! Wayo's soulmate, the boy. I only saw him for a few moments before he ran away. He is around 17!"
Now the doctor andArthit too were stunned and rendered speechless.
