Chapter 35

Y/N's POV:

I kept my head down, but not to avoid eye contact, or anything like that. Even though I had gotten extra sleep this morning, and in the car ride earlier, my eyes seemed to want to stay shut, no matter how hard I tried to keep them open. Maybe it was the fact that I had witnessed a death that tired me out, or the fact that I had continuously stretched my brain out, just wondering if I was the cause of the death. If I was a murderer. I was on the couch beside Jungkook, who was on his phone. My eyes worked hard to stay open, yet they fell once more, and I couldn't find the strength in me to open them back up.

Jungkook's POV:

I turned off my phone and looked up at the T.V, which had the news on. Unsurprisingly, it was on Mei Zhen, talking about the 'shocking' news of the criminal, and how she was found dead. I sighed and turned the T.V off, not felling like reliving her death. It didnt matter that I didn't like her-nobody deserved to die that way, especially without redeeming theirselves. I shuddered at the thought of her dying without being able to apologize to Y/N. I think though, by the way Y/N had held her head with such care a couple hours ago, Mei Zhen was already forgiven. I'd like to think that Mei Zhen knew she was forgiven, and that she died in peace. I only think that because it calms me the most, but I still believe it nonetheless.

And then I felt a head slowly put its weight on my shoulder. I looked over in surprise, only to be faced with Y/N's relaxed, sleeping posture. Her har fell in front of her face, and her chest fell up and down as her breath evened out. For the first time all day, she looked peaceful. As much as I didn't enjoy being a human pillow, I didn't have the courage to wake her up, so I rested back on the couch, making sure not to disturb her peaceful posture. I grabbed the one thing in reach, one of Taehyung's toy animals that were laying on the floor, and put it behind my head as a pillow. Y/N shifted her head from my shoulder to my leg, making it even harder for me to move, because her body now blocked the rest of the couch, meaning I'd half to keep my feet on the ground as I slept. If I got any sleep that night.

Then, to my suprise, I felt her small hands wrap around my arm, which was unintentionally close to her face. She pulled it towards her, and then cuddled it as if it was a small toy, or something. I groaned quietly, knowing it would be a sleepless night for me. A couple minutes later, Jin-Hyung walked into the kitchen, past Y/N and I, not noticing us at first. I sighed in relief, knowing the teasing would be on end if he saw us. He shuffled around in the kitchen for a few minutes, and I held my breath the whole time, praying that we would go unnoticed.

He walked out of the kitchen with an apple and a glass of water. To my dismay, while he was walking past, he peeked over into the living room. Shit. Even though I had been there for a couple minutes, I had grown accustomed to the lamps light, and forgot to turn it off. Instead of laughing, or even smiling knowingly at me, he walked right past me, turned off the light, which took me a couple moments to adjust my eyes to, and then he patted me on the shoulder, left the room for a moment, and came back with a pillow and blanket.

he tossed the pillow at me, and I awkwardly put it under my head without waking Y/N. He gently put the blanket over Y/N, bringing it up to her chin, leaving me with only the bottom half of my legs covered. He left the room without another word. I groaned for the thousandth time that evening, and finally closed my eyes, praying to get more then 5 hours of sleep that night.

Y/N's POV:

"There so cute, though!"

"I don't care. You have to wake them up! Breakfast is ready!"

"You said that a million times..I get it. Jin, why don't you wake them up?"

"What? Why me?"

"Your the only one who wants them up, that's why. Plus, do you think Y/N's even coming with us today?"
