Chapter 19

*Mihira Pov*

"Are you back?" I asked the moment lifting his call but he calmly replied asking me to come to the garden area.

"I will be there." I replied ignoring the books scattered around me before rushing out of my room and stepped outside to see him waiting for me.

I smiled at him and he smiled back before pulling me into his arms. I looked around thinking about our parents as it's really dark right now.

But he ended up hugging me tightly which caused me to pat his back to leave some space which he completely ignored.

"What happened, Abhi?" I asked hugging him back while thinking about his behavior.

"I just missed you." He replied and I don't know how long we stood there like that but he eventually let go of me.

"Uncle and you had a date or what? It's nearly midnight and you just returned." I asked holding his hands to warm mine but they were colder than mine.

He nodded before asking me to go for a walk and we ended up walking in that cold weather but he didn't say anything.

"Abhi! Is something wrong? You didn't do well in your exam?" I asked feeling his behavior to be anywhere not normal and he seems to be lost in his thoughts.

"Yeah! I think I will fail it." He replied and I tightened my hold on his hand hearing those words.

"It's okay, Abhi! Don't stress yourself like this over that matter when it already happened. Give your best in the next one. They are just exams after all." I mumbled after a few minutes as for some time I didn't know what to say as I know he is serious about exams unlike me.

After some time we returned back to our house compound and he finally sighed before looking at me after being lost all this time.

"I will be staying with Vikesh until the exams finish. I want to just concentrate on my exams." He suddenly said making me frown.

"Who will disturb you if you study at home?" I asked but he didn't say anything to that question but then I remember how these two days he was disturbed because of my birthday and mainly because of me.

"I promise to not disturb you at all and just message you once or twice." I added but he shook his head.

"We will meet after the exams and you concentrate on your exams." He said releasing my hands but I held them tightly.

"I will not disturb you no matter what happens, Abhi." I pleaded but he shook his head again before pulling me into his arms and hugged me tightly.

I don't know why but it doesn't feel right as this decision of his is too sudden to react in any way towards it.

"Okay! I understand that this will make you feel better. But don't forget to contact me during your preparation." I mumbled to which he nodded and we finally parted even though I wished to stay a bit longer but he insisted me to concentrate on the exams.

"Finally!" I whispered smiling at my phone while Kavitha chuckled beside me.

"I feel you are happy about meeting everyone and mainly Abhi rather than finishing the exams." She commented and I smiled nodding at her.

"None of them contacted us at all. Isn't that weird?" I asked but she shrugged.

"Everyone was busy with their exams. And your boyfriend was obsessed to score well. So, I think it's normal." She replied.

"Yeah! But it didn't happen last year, right?" I continued while we both walked towards the parking lot.

"They are third years and they will be serious about the things they were not earlier just like us." She mumbled starting her vehicle while I thought about the wait I need to endure for the next two days until he finishes his exams and we return to college normally.
