A PRETENSE...

Chapter 31

*Mihira Pov*

"He told you all that?" I asked staring at him and he nodded while passing the water glass to my hands.

I don't know what just happened in my room but he is acting as if nothing happened and so even I am following his acting.

"Yes! It seems for meddling in his affairs." He mumbled and I sighed taking a sip from the glass and made sure to not stare at his lips when he is doing the same.

At the end of it what we decided to do was just be friends like I asked him to but that kiss... if I look at it from the third perspective then I would have said wow instead of being awkward like this.

"You can just come to college tomorrow. I don't think he has any right to say anything else." He assured me and I nodded placing the glass down.

"Thanks for trying to take the blame like that even though he found out everything because of that." I mumbled smiling while trying to joke with him.

"Well, I am glad that I did. If not then I wouldn't have realized how stupid I was and that's why I accepted to be your friend." He said smiling while I stared at him in confusion.

What is he saying? I am not understanding the logic behind it but I don't think there is any logic in anything that happened between us today.

After he left, I returned to my room to continue to study but the moment I sat down I felt like I am repeating the scene before my eyes that just happened here.

"Why? Why here of all places?" I asked no one before taking my book to shift to the bed as that place feels haunted right now and that too by the ghost called Abhi.

I frowned looking at the message Abhi sent saying he forgot to inform something and added that Swapnil Sir proposed Maam but she is taking some time to accept it.

This is not at all related to me and just let him do whatever he wants to. How can he just talk about my secrets like this when I didn't say anything about their story to anyone?

However, inside I definitely feel happy and proud that he finally did it even though confused that Maam is taking some time but then she has every right to decide what she wants to do.

And I shouldn't meddle in their relationship no matter what as I am right now angry at him and I don't care no matter what.

With the thoughts completely diverting, I finally was able to continue studying and finished for the day but then when I tried to sleep that scene haunting my mind is another matter.

However, the next day when I met Maam near the classroom, I smiled brightly at her and she chuckled seeing that expression.

"You are not mad at him?" She asked and I shrugged without replying to her question as I am more interested in knowing about their matter.

"I heard he finally proposed, Maam." I asked when we started walking towards the staff floor.

"Proposal? That's what he wants to call it but that is nowhere near normal proposal." She mumbled shaking her head.

"After leaving the restaurant that day, I asked him why is he angry at you and he replied it's because you meddled and invited my senior." She explained and I stared at with complete attention.

"I asked him why is inviting my Senior would be turned as meddling. He said because Mihira thinks I like you which shocked me but after a few seconds he added that he may like me." She continued and I stared at her in shock.

"What? He said he thinks he like you?" I asked and she nodded sighing.

"But I didn't want to reject him too and that's why I asked for time. However, I am not sure whether he actually likes me." She mumbled shrugging.
