The Doctor stands, feet planted, hands on hips in front of a creepy, probably haunted, rotted wood, cobble stone house.
"Right, let's go see what all the fuss is about."
The Doctor says to her fam, who seem to be quaking behind her."No way am I going in there." Graham moans, eyes fixed on the boarded up windows around the house.
"Yeah, have you seen a horror movie Doctor? This looks like every single haunted house that has ever existed in a horror movie." Ryan adds with a slight wobble.
"Exactly, this looks like a house from a movie, and errr....hate to break it to you Ryan but, movies aren't reality." The Doctor explains back to him with a comforting smile.
"But you have to admit it does look a bit creepy." Yaz tells her, walking up closer to the wooden door. The Doctor lets out a long sigh.
"Okay, fine it does look at bit weird and old but it'll be alright. I'll go in first you guys follow behind me and....try not scream? We don't want to frighten the already frightened resident. It's a quick mission. Find what the issue is, get rid of it, bam! Job complete."
"Easier said than done." Graham mopes back.
"You don't know that yet." The Doctor replies, knocking hard on the heavy door. It opens suddenly on the third knock and they're greeted by an old, grey haired man with a crooked nose.
"You're here. Good. That was...surprisingly quick." The old man huffs.
"Efficient transportation." Yaz smiles.
"We picked up a distress signal coming from your house. I assume you need a bit of help with something." The Doctor says, Graham and Ryan still keeping a significant distance away from the old man.
"Yes. Yes I do. It's bad. Very bad indeed. Come in." The man ushers them inside.
Waltzing in first is The Doctor, immediately going in to inspect the decrepit building. Yaz is second, squinting at the rusty, framed portrait paintings, hanging from the staircase wall. Ryan and Graham are last, sticking close by to each other like two little, lost school boys.
The man (or the wind) slams the doors shut.
"So what seems to the problem? Besides the fact that your house needs some serious DIY." The Doctor politely announces, still traversing her eyes around the grand but shabby entrance hall.
The old man takes a deep breath in.
"I think....my house is haunted.""Called it." Ryan yaps with a proud grin.
