We walk into the inn

I walk inside the Inn and close the door
I sit down
"Oh Irene"I mutter
"Is everything okay"
I look up and see Aaron
"Haydens gone"
"I see"Aaron says

I see Aph says in the steps outside the inn
She had two glasses beside

"Sit "She says
I sit beside her
She hands me a glass
A drink it
"Rum...Well I didn't see that coming. It's the middle of the day Aph "
"Shut up....Anyway you need to talk to me "
"I swear we've had this conversation before "
"We have but you didn't tell me much. How are you feeling "
"Hayden's gone...I don't know what to do "

"The last thing I ever said to him was See you soon and instead if visiting Metelie. We got trapped in that stupid dimension and I couldn't be there when my father died,to help Cadenza, to grieve ,To go to his funeral. All of it was just happened but without me."

I sit in my room and lay on my bed staring at the celing.
I keep replaying everything in my head

Theres a knock on the door. I get up and walk over to the door. I open it

"Laurence may I talk to you "Cadenza says

She walks in and I close the door

"I'm sorry. I just thought I'd lost you too. After dad and you I just couldn't bare the thought of you being...."
"It's alright Cadenza. I'm here now"I says
We stand out on the balcony
We look out over Metelie
"May I ask you something Laurence "Cadenza says
"Of course"
"Are you and her a thing "

"I care about here of course I do she's my friend and my Lord. I'm purely doing my job"

"I want us to stop talking about this"
"Fine. Have your way but this isn't over. I should go. I have a long day tomorrow "Cadenza says
We walk inside
"Would you like me to escort you back home"
"Vincent is downstairs"

We walk downstairs

I lean against the wall,close my eyes and let out a sigh.
I hear a creek on the stairs
I open my eyes and look at the stairs
"M'lady"
"Laurence ,I''m sorry I couldn't sleep and I heard talking"
"Would you like me to stay with you for a while"I ask
"Please"
She turns and walks back up the stairs and I follow behind her. She walks into her bedroom and I close the door behind her
I sit on the bed and she lays her head against my chest
I felt the heat rise in my cheeks
Why was I blushing. This wasn't weird at all. She's just a friend . Right? No you kissed her.. She kissed me... why is it so complicated?
