Yara did not continue the generation of Jedi from her grandmother's lineage, however, she still had a brother--Alexest. His children and his children's children would be strong with the force, just as Yara and Tara were. They would inherit the responsibility of being in tune with the Force just as Yara and Tara were. So, although Yara was dead, she left a great mark on the universe and would be just as known as her grandmother was as a Jedi Knight.
Kylo and Yara's love story was tragic, but all good love stories come with great toil. This way, they could be together, bonded by the Force, forever loving each other. This way, no one could get in their way, and they could exist peacefully, with no more tragedy.
