The next morning, I got ready soon realizing I had no idea what I was going to do today. I spent half of the morning aimlessly walking around the house. That was when I remembered James's invitation.

I walk outside and head next door. The wind seemed cooler, so I looked at the sky. It was overcast and rain was imminent. As soon as I got to Nathan's house, I rang the doorbell. I waited there for a minute or so before I realized no one was home.

I was just turning around when I heard a massive crash of thunder followed immediately by a downpour. I sighed, realizing I had to run back home and I was going to get soaked. Sprinting off the porch, I cut through the front lawn, mud splattering my sneakers and shorts-clad legs.

Once I got to my porch, I kicked off my muddy sneakers and stepped into the house. I walked up to my bathroom, leaving a trail of water droplets behind me. As soon as I got into the bathroom, I removed my wet and muddy clothes and jumped into the shower.

The hot water felt good on my skin and now I have time to think, though I had to get out quick because of the storm. The shower did some good because it gave me an idea. After I got out, I wrapped one towel around my body and another one around my hair to keep it from dripping. I walk to my bedroom where I pick out the coziest clothes I had in my suitcase. I brushed my hair and headed downstairs, carrying my dirty clothes with me, making sure they stayed away from my clean clothes. I threw them in the floor in front of my washer before walking out. Luckily the house had come with a washer and dryer so I didn't have to buy one.

I pulled up my Skype and called my best friend back from my hometown. We both enjoyed Minecraft and I'd post the videos on my channel.

"Hey (F/n), you wanna record a video?"

"Hey (Y/n), and yeah, I'm in."

"Awesome. Let me get set up."

Shortly I had everything set up, we joined a server, and I did my intro.

"Hey my lovely sugarlings! Welcome to another video with CrazyCrafter1937, and today we are going to play Bedwars on the Hypixal server!"

(F/n) and I played on the Hypixal server for several hours. The video was so fun to record that I forgot I hadn't eaten lunch yet. I was reminded of it when I heard my stomach growl.

"That is all everyone! Thank you so much for watching this video. If you enjoyed it, please consider subscribing. The subscribe button is really friendly, just like me. I'll see you next time. Bye sugarlings!"

I stopped recording and closed out of Minecraft, but kept Skype up on my phone. I told (F/n) that I was going to make food and started walking away from my desk, leaving my phone there.

"Take me with you?" I faintly hear.

I chuckle as I walk back and grab my phone, continuing our previous conversation. I pulled out a pack of instant mashed potatoes, and started making them. (F/n) and I were telling jokes and seeing who could make the other laugh more. Soon my potatoes were completed, and I shoved a spoonful into my mouth. Of course, (F/n) decided it would be the perfect time to tell me a funny story.

"So I heard a doorbell go off, and I thought it was at our front door. I opened the front door, and when I did, no one was there. Here it was the tv!"

I'm trying to eat a mouthful of mashed potatoes and not choke at the same time. Really difficult to do. We are both laughing, and I'm trying to control my breathing. The laughter continues for several more seconds, until we both calm down and I can finally swallow.

"So, how are your new neighbors?"

"They're good. There's an elderly lady named Mrs. Lutzen who is very sweet, and my other neighbors are Unspeakable and his friends," I hesitantly say.

There was a few seconds of silence until the other end of the line erupted in laughter.

"Don't believe me? Look up his latest vlog." I reply, a smug look on my face.

There is a few minutes of silence on the other line. Eventually  I hear them come back. And they're laughing.

"I can't believe you fell over the fence! Smooth!"

"Thanks."

"I guess you were right. Sorry for not believing you."

"It's okay. I'm used to it by now, coming from you."

We kept talking, me nibbling at my mashed potatoes. Unfortunately, (F/n) had to leave so I was stuck by myself again. The rain was still coming down steadily so I decided to do some chores I had been neglecting, like washing clothes and cleaning the dried water droplets on the entryway floor.

The chores were just an excuse to stop feeling lonely. This was the first time I'd been lonely since moving here. The first two weeks were filled with getting everything ready and liveable here, as well as getting videos up.

Soon it was time for dinner again, and I still had mashed potatoes left. I walked up to my mattress and sat down, watching YouTube and eating mashed potatoes, trying not to feel lonely.

About 10:00pm, I decided it would be best if I sleep. I reached up and turned off my light. This day was so boring without some sort of craziness. I knew my neighbors for all of two days and I already depended on them to help make my life interesting. Hopefully tomorrow will be more interesting.
