The war was over. Sirius was dead. He was gone. Remus hated that. At least he had his son, and his wife. And Harry helped him too. Remus sat on the back porch of their small one story cabin in the woods, with Teddy in his lap. They were looking out at the stars. Remus sighed and leaned back into his chair. Teddy did the same, but leaned back on Remus' chest, it was quiet and peaceful, until Teddy had a question,"Daddy?" He asked "Hmm" Remus hummed,"What's that one called?" Remus looked up to where Teddy was pointing up at the sky,"That is called Regulus, the lions heart, it looks like its just one star, but its actually 4 different stars." Remus answered, "Oh. Cool.... What about that one?"he asked pointing to a new star "That one," Remus said,"is called andromeda. Just like your grandmother." Teddy giggled,"Grandma is a star?" "She sure is. And she made your mum. That's why your mum is so bright," Remus said chuckling. Teddy laughed some more,"What about that one" remus shifted his gaze to where his son was pointing. "That one Teddy," Remus said in a thick voice,"that one is Sirius, the dog star." A lone tear made it's way down his cheek. Teddy noticed,"Daddy does stars make you sad?" He said, concerned,"No...no buddy. Not stars." "Then why you're sad Daddy?" Remus looked down at his son and drew a deep breath,"I'm not sad baby. Just... Im just remembering things. I promise I'm not sad." "Yes you are daddy," Teddy said looking at remus with furrowed brows while nodding his head,"ooo I know what will make you happy. Wait here." Remus watched his son scramble down off of his lap and run into the house. A few seconds later he watched Teddy run back out or the house with two cookies,"Here this will help you. But don't tell Mummy! We're not supposed to have cookies right now. She said its too late!" Remus chuckled and shook his head,"As long as you don't tell Mummy either I wont tell her." Remus reasoned, knowing Dora was going to find out one way or another and scold him for it,"ok Daddy" and they sat there, until it was bed time, staring at the stars, and eating their cookies.
