Chapter 8

"Now explain yourselves."

"I made her skip school." Rosé said. Since we got out of school, she had that troubled face. While Kai was speechless, Lisa was more than happy to introduce herself along with the others. I knew I had to go but I felt safe she is with people I can trust. Especially when Mark came. He ignored me and stayed away from me. I was hurt by it but thought that I shouldn't overthink of it that much.

As we talked, I glanced at Mark he was looking straight at my soul. That we felt as if that day won't even end but Rosé's silence for the whole time made me break the eye contact. Lisa took my hand and Rosé's to make us dance on many songs that the boys sang. Rosé smiled a bit. I am sure that Lisa seems to be very energetic and not care about her surrounding but she reads the atmosphere very quickly plus she knows how to fix it which made me always admire her. Something came over me that I opened my phone to see the time for no absolute reason."F***"

"What's wrong?" Kai asked.

"I am five minutes late."

"For?" Lisa asked while closing the music. "For tutoring Taehyung."

"Can't he study by himself?" Mark said without realizing. Kai looked at him then at me while I replied "If he can, I wouldn't get near him." He rolled his eyes and choose not to talk. When I was running outside, I was thinking about a way to cheer myself up. I didn't like it when he is mad at me, so I tried to think of any happy memory of us. "Will you stop?" I looked next to me to see Mark himself. "You can't walk to there in the rain, can you?" I didn't even realize it was even raining. I got in the car. "I didn't even tell you to get in."

"Will you take me there or should I walk in the rain?"

"Fine." He said it while smirking... After nearly an hour of driving, we were there. "Will he keep his promise?" Mark held my hand as I was getting out. "I hope so?"

"You will have to stay there for more time, right? Just call me, so I know you are fine." I gave him a warm smile and nodded.

The door flashed open in front my eyes revealing a displeased man. "You are an hour late." I apologized to him but he didn't want it to slide. Then Taehyung showed up and said "I thought you wouldn't come. Especially after the promise." The man looked at him and me confused of what he could possibly mean by the promise.

"Let her in." The man was more confused that he forgot what he was mad about. I entered and went up to  Taehyung's room. "I can't save you everytime or even want to."

"Then why did you do it then?"

"You are not doing your part in our  promise." He looked at me seriously. I noticed what I was doing. I sighed while getting the stuff out of my bag to start. I found him grabbing my hair. "You bitch. Who told you to sit on my bed? You forgot who you are just because I treated you good two seconds ago?" I looked at him in fear. He was fine before me entering his room. I thought that hell ended. He kept hitting me but then I was saved by Yoongi and a young gentleman who kept screaming at him. I couldn't hear anything from my surrounding and that's when I passed out on Yoongi's arms.

I woke up to hear noise from outside the room. The girls have never fought since day one of living with them. I looked around to find a young man. He noticed and rushed to me asking if I am okay. When I realized what happened yesterday, I pushed him away as hard as I can. "I won't harm you either Taehyung."

"He will" I said with a broken voice. The noise got louder and louder but before the young man say anything, Yoongi entered. He looked at me with sympathy. "See what you have done?" Taehyung behind him looked at me with sadness. "You must feel so weak. It must be painful-" Then Yoongi looked at Taehyung. "Maybe you could do some changes in your life and don't listen to your girlfriend or maybe I should say ex-girlfriend." I was confused with the last part. Did Jungha tell him to do that? Why did he listen to her? "I had no choice."

"You could find one but you are too lazy that everyone plays you as a puppet...." Jungkook widened his eyes and Yoongi stayed silent after his last sentence. But after Taehyung left the whole house, his face expression changed. "You shouldn't say that to him you know. He is trying his hard to change. You ca-"

"Enough. Take care of Y/N. I have to do some stuff." With that he left me and the young man alone. "Did they fight like that before?" The young man seemed to hesitate but then shook his head. "So I am the reason." I sighed even after what Taehyung did to me I can't possibly destroy his life. Or maybe it's ka- "No, not you. It's her fault. Since day one it's her fault."

"Um h-his umm girl..friend?" I felt like I was stepping into a place I shouldn't. I know I have to kinda of know but I can't cross the line. "Yes, her." His eyes were filled with hatred. What did she do to make them hate her so much? Since I don't think Yoongi likes her either. "Did she ask him-?"

"I don't know. I know she is a bad influence on Taehyung but that's all." I stayed silent. Maybe one day I will know. Not from the young man but anyone. He then left but I couldn't wait and leave as well. I saw him with tears in his eyes. His puffed eyes just like the time his mother- He hurt me so many times. He deserved everything that happened to him. He didn't even stop me to apologize. In that situation, no one would care about an apology but I wanted him to apologize. He destroyed my life even he helped many times but...I am waiting for useless thing.

"I am sorry. I didn't want to do it." I froze as he apologized. "Please don't step out, please. I beg you." I didn't look back and got outside. The next moment was so fast as the last thing I remember I was hit by a wall in the head.

It's night. I looked at my state. My clothes are torn. Bruises is located everywhere and wounds. Million of them. I was in a bed light headed. Did Jungha get me? Or did Taehyung do something to me? As the last thought have passed across my mind, I passed out.

"Are you okay?" I heard the same question that has been asked for the millions time. "I told you not to step outside. I begged you. I was more than lucky that I saved you in the last minute. I couldn't find you anywhere. I thought you died. I thought my childhood bestfriend died." I stayed silent as I knew more than anyone he was crying like a mess. "For two days, I couldn't find you. For two days straight. I am trying to change and st...Yoongi was right, Y/N, right? I am just a puppet that everyone uses. I am lazy and I can't take my own choices." His sobs got louder and louder as he was continuing. "She won't find you here. If I keep you safe, she won't find you. Her father won't kill you. I can..."

"It's okay, Taehyung." I said it. I was fighting myself all this time but I finally said it. I feel my common sense is literally screaming at me. "You were awake?" I nodded. "I am...I.."

"No need for more." He stayed silent. As I looked at him, missing every single detail I knew about him when we were kids. But I wanted to ask him for more. I needed to know more as there was pieces of puzzle missing. "Taehy-"
